Egyptian online news editors have agreed to a unified ban on photographing funerals and condolence gatherings for citizens, with accountability for outlets or journalists who violate the rule. The decision came during a meeting with Minister of State for Information Diaa Rashwan, who also stressed the importance of professional standards, accurate reporting and protecting citizens’ privacy.
