The Center for Development Services (CDS) has signed a cooperation protocol with Al Ahram Beverages Company to launch “Her Mark in Hospitality”, a dedicated track under the ABC Hospitality Academy, an initiative launched by Al Ahram Beverages Company. The track aims to train and prepare 200 women from Greater Cairo and support their readiness to enter the hospitality labor market.
The cooperation protocol was signed in the presence of Nikolay Mladenov, Managing Director of Al Ahram Beverages Company, and Ali Mokhtar, Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Development Services (CDS), who signed the protocol on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing ceremony was also attended by Sherine Eidarous, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Al Ahram Beverages Company; Dr. Hisham Eissa, Programs Director at CDS; and Basant Mokhtar, Partnerships Manager at CDS.
The “Her Mark in Hospitality” track targets women aged 25 to 40 in Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia. It offers a specialized training program combining technical and professional skills across five key areas: food and beverage service, professional coffee making, baking, pastry making, and cold food preparation.
In addition to technical training, the program covers food safety and hygiene, personal skills development, and workplace readiness, while providing participants with guidance and support to connect with potential employers in the hospitality sector.
A key objective of the track is to support the employment of at least 80% of program graduates, ensuring that the training is directly linked to actual employment opportunities and helping participants transition from skills development to meaningful participation in the labor market.
The launch of “Her Mark in Hospitality” coincides with the celebration of World Tourism Day and reflects the joint commitment of Al Ahram Beverages Company and CDS to advancing women’s economic empowerment, professional skills development, and women’s participation in the hospitality sector. The initiative provides training pathways that respond to labor market needs and are closely connected to real employment opportunities.
Through this collaboration, the two partners seek to create new opportunities for women in the hospitality sector, strengthen workforce readiness, and contribute to building a more inclusive and skilled hospitality industry capable of responding to the continued growth of Egypt’s tourism sector.
