Job Title: Substation Automation Engineer
Location: Cairo, Egypt
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Substation Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and commissioning substation automation systems to ensure the efficient and secure operation of power transmission and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities:
-Design and implement substation automation solutions based on IEC 61850 standards and other relevant protocols.
-Configure protection relays, SCADA systems, RTUs, IEDs, and communication networks.
-Develop and test automation schemes including logic, control, and monitoring functions.
-Interface with project teams to develop technical specifications and system architectures.
-Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning of SAS and RTU systems.
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project ex*****on.
-Ensure compliance with safety, industry standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
-Minimum 3 years of experience in substation automation and RTU systems.
-Knowledge of communication protocols IEC 61850, Modbus, IEC-101 and IEC-104.
-Hands-on experience with devices from major manufacturers (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, SEL).
-Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI software, and communication networks (Ethernet, serial, fiber).
-Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
-Willingness to travel inside and outside Egypt for project work and site commissioning.
-Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
