Joy and grief. Beauty and destruction. Memory and loss. I’ve never believed you have to choose between them.

A sunny character surrounded by fire, still finding peace. A phoenix mid-burn, not yet risen. A leopard mid-attack, rage and beauty in the same brushstroke.

This isn’t indecision. It’s honesty. Because that’s what it actually feels like to love something that is both flourishing and under threat at the same time.

My work touches Levantine heritage, ecological grief, diaspora memory but underneath all of it is one belief: nothing true is ever just one thing.

Art doesn’t ask me to pick one. Neither does the work.

Neither should you. 🕊️🔥

An olive tree is not just a tree. 🌳

It is time.
It is land.
It is livelihood.
It is memory with roots.

When hundreds of olive trees are uprooted, that is not only environmental damage. It is an attack on what takes generations to grow.

And it is happening inside a larger fire 🔥 one planet being burned in real time.

This is why symbols in art cannot be treated as decoration.

The olive tree carries ecology, ancestry, grief, and refusal inside it.

Save this for the next time someone reduces Levantine art to conflict imagery.

The Phoenix.🐦‍🔥

It doesn’t resist the fire 🔥 it surrenders to it completely, trusting what comes after. Not weakness. The deepest kind of faith.

Inside this piece, a house is carried through the flames, not destroyed by them. Some things are too precious to lose, even to fire.

This is a painting about what rises when everything else falls… grief transformed into something that can hold a room, and change how it feels the moment you walk in.

Some paintings decorate a wall. This one rises every day it hangs somewhere. 🔥

A love letter to the Iris ➡️

Many Iris species are endangered.

The Iris sofarana grows only on Mount Lebanon. Nowhere else on earth. 🌸

It blooms briefly each spring on rocky mountain slopes and has done so for thousands of years. It is one of the most beautiful and most threatened endemic species in the world.

War, bombardment and white phosphorus on the land where some of its last known populations grow.

When this flower disappears from Lebanon, it disappears from the world. There is no other place to find it. No second chance.

I drew it because some things deserve to be witnessed before they are mourned. A new large canvas coming 🌸🇱🇧
