Rooftop by Interval Type updated!

What happens if you place American humanist grotesques of the 20th century (such as Lining Gothic) into the world of tech startups of the 21st? You get a collection of slightly squarish forms, squared ovals, and brutal design — that’s Rooftop’s answer

Back in 2020, Rooftop was a single family with 16 weights. It has now expanded into six families, 96 weights, plus a variable font

New typeface: Factor B by Interval Type

Factor B seems more rational than Factor A. However, the Altiverse set, with its wide selection of geometrically structured alternates partly inspired by the typography of the analogue synth era, might make you reconsider. These alternates are a perfect way to add more personality to your titles and logos. Factor B works well at both display and text sizes, offering six styles ranging from Light to Black

Factor A, inspired by early 20th-century sans serif designs, has expanded into a versatile family of four typefaces, each offering 7 weights. The family now includes new ligatures, two alternate sets for lowercase letters, and the option to use more neutral forms of f and t. Factor A is also available as a three-axis variable font, packing all 56 styles into one file

New typeface in the Oceanic collection by Interval Type
This time it’s a grotesque!

The concept behind Oceanic Grotesk was to craft a sans-serif companion to the Oceanic and Oceanic Text serif font families, establishing cohesive personalities without replicating individual letter designs

Oceanic Grotesk and Oceanic Text share identical vertical metrics for effortless use in continuous text strings or titles
