Tony Grox

Having grown in the city of San Fernando, Cádiz, Tony surrounded himself by music from a really young age. Soon, he formed a rock band with his childhood friends, starting to make covers of famous hits and teaching each other how to play instruments as guitars, basses and drums, all by themselves. With the firsts works of a still unknown Sonny Moore with atRisk and Metalcore From First To Last as main influences, beside Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain, Sum 41, Stevie Wonder or Giorgio Tuinfort, Tony had his first contact with electronic music thanks to Skrillex, whose music made him start to research how machines could make that kind of music. With production being his main target, Tony Grox started his firsts attempts all by himself. With 14 years, having saved enough money, he managed to buy his first laptop with GarageBand, on which he started recording different instruments – as guitars and voices – and to experiment with its possibilities. Soon after, GB will become small to Grox’s ambitions, so he started making his firsts works with Logic on his own, and taking production as a serious way of living. With 17 years, Tony moved to Madrid, drawing the attention of the renowned restaurant Tatel, where he would put a musical background to the restaurant’s fine cucine. By that time, he decided to take production classes with different artists, taking his musical productions one step further. After this, he would start working as producer for different national and international artists, what eventually led him to publish his first big single and video, along the renowned American singer Aqeelion: ‘It’s All Right’. Having started his career as selector, doing warp-up sessions for different national and international artists, Tony also nurtured his skills as DJ, which draw the attention of different venues and festivals, both national and international-wise. That’s how he has managed to act in Spain, in clubs as Ushuaïa (Ibiza), F**k Me Im Famous (Ibiza’s Airport), Fabrik, Kapital Young or Goya Social Club (Madrid); festivals as Utopía (Madrid), Los Álamos Beach Festival (Málaga), Animal Sound (Murcia), Maxima FM On Tour or Life Temptation (Zaragoza); also in different international events, as La Nuit (Sofitel Grand Ducal, Luxemburg), The Bassment (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) or ADE (Amsterdam); beside different branded events for JD Sports, Coca-Cola, Audi or Pepe Jeans. Being surrounded and drawing the attention – due to his youth and know-how – from artists as Avicii, Kygo, Martin Garrix, Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta or Steve Angello, the past 2016, having just turned 18, Tony Grox released his biggest and most viral hit, with over 200.000 plays in YouTube: ‘Simple Song’ with the amazing female vocals of the singer Sabina Martins, getting several radio plays at Spain’s leading dance radio, Maxima FM.

2017 looks very promising for Tony Grox, who keeps growing as an artist, with several projects and singles in sight. Without a question, Tony’s future looks bright as he becomes one of the most promising artists in the scene and a safe bet for any production or dancefloor.
