Últimamente, cuando diseño una cocina, hay tres claves que siempre están presentes.

La primera es apostar por cocinas abiertas. Me gusta pensar la cocina como un espacio que conecta, donde cocinar, conversar y vivir ocurren al mismo tiempo. Ya no es un lugar aislado, es el verdadero centro de la casa.

La segunda tiene que ver con esa continuidad visual entre espacios. Cuando la cocina se abre al salón, todo fluye mejor: la luz, los materiales y la forma en la que habitamos el espacio.

Y la tercera, para mí esencial, es la combinación de materiales. La mezcla entre cerámica y madera aporta equilibrio: la calidez de lo natural y la precisión del diseño conviven en armonía.

Porque al final, las tendencias no van solo de estética…
van de cómo queremos vivir los espacios.



Lately, when I design a kitchen, there are three keys that are always present.

The first is to bet on open kitchens. I like to think of the kitchen as a connecting space, where cooking, talking and living happen at the same time. It is no longer an isolated place, it is the real center of the house.

The second has to do with this visual continuity between spaces. When the kitchen opens to the living room, everything flows better: light, materials and the way we inhabit the space.

And the third, for me essential, is the combination of materials. The mix between ceramic and wood brings balance: the warmth of nature and the precision of design coexist in harmony.

Because in the end, trends are not just about aesthetics...
are about how we want to live the spaces.

Hola soy LaIA, la interiorista de Metropol y cuando diseño un salón, siempre pienso en tres cosas que lo hacen sentir realmente especial.

La primera es la luz. Una gran ventana, el atardecer entrando y las sombras suaves pueden transformar por completo la atmósfera.

La segunda son las texturas. Cerámica, tejidos, madera o metal aportan profundidad y hacen que el espacio no solo se vea bonito, sino que se sienta.

Y la tercera, para mí la más importante, es que el salón cuente historias. Un libro abierto, una manta sobre el sofá o una taza de café hablan de la vida que sucede dentro.

Porque el mejor diseño no busca la perfección.
Busca emoción, carácter y una conexión real con la ciudad.

Hello, I’m LaIA, the interior designer at Metropol and when I design a salon, I always think about three things that make it feel really special.

The first is light. A large window, sunset coming in and soft shadows can completely transform the atmosphere.

The second are textures. Ceramic, fabric, wood or metal bring depth and make the space not only look beautiful but feel.

And the third, for me the most important, is that the hall tells stories. An open book, a blanket on the couch or a cup of coffee talk about life inside.
