Today, LifeWatch ERIC's CEO Christos Arvanitidis is attending , the 15th International Polychaete Conference in Frankfurt, Germany.

Dr. Arvanitidis will present the work carried out in collaboration with Daniel Martin and Rafael Sardá from the Centre d'Estudis Avançats de Blanes (CEAB-CSIC), Spain.
Their comparative analysis focuses on current shifts in our relation with marine biodiversity data, taking Polychaete research as an ideal model for the investigation of these dynamics.

It was great to catch up with Vishwakalyan Bhoyroo at the Pensoft booth during , the LifeWatch ERIC Biodiversity and Ecosystem eScience Conference in Plovdiv, Bulgaria!

Vishwakalyan is co-author on two recent open-access papers with us, spanning both marine biodiversity and mycology:

✨ 2026 concludes with a strong vision for future scientific collaboration

🔷 concluded with a closing session attended by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities of Agricultural University-Plovdiv Prof. Dr. Dimo Atanasov, the Chief Executive Officer of LifeWatch ERIC Dr. Christos Arvanitidis, and the Acting Director of the LifeWatch ERIC Service Centre Alberto Basset.

✅ During the closing session, the conference organizers summarized the key highlights of , emphasizing the importance of international scientific collaboration in addressing global challenges and outlining opportunities for future joint initiatives and research projects in the fields of biodiversity, agroecology, and sustainable development.
