What happens when safeguarding research moves beyond the report and into the real world?

Reflecting on another meaningful visit to Taiwan as IGNITX continued our collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of Chinese Taipei. 🇹🇼
At the 2026 International Sports Affairs Training Course, we delivered an interactive Safeguarding in Sport workshop for over 100 students, student-athletes, sport administrators and members of the public. Through myth-and-fact activities, realistic scenarios and open discussion, participants explored the broader meaning of safeguarding and our shared responsibility to create safer sporting environments.
We were also honoured to visit the NOC offices and meet with its President and Secretary General — a valuable opportunity to strengthen a collaboration built on trust, knowledge exchange and a shared commitment to sport.
Thank you to the National Olympic Committee of Chinese Taipei for the warm welcome and continued collaboration. We look forward to building on this journey together. 🤝

Safer sport is a shared responsibility.
On 8 August, Safe Sport Day, we join the global sporting community in recognising that everyone has a role to play in creating safer sporting environments.
At IGNITX, Safeguarding in Sport is one of our core focus streams. We work with sports organisations and event organisers to strengthen safeguarding practices and turn commitment into meaningful action.
Because safeguarding cannot simply exist in a policy.
It needs to be understood.
It needs to be practised.
It needs to be part of how we plan, lead and deliver sport.
Playing your part can start with one action:

One of the most encouraging findings from the 2026 Global Safeguarding in Sport Survey is that sport organisations increasingly recognise the importance of safeguarding.
As , Managing Partner of IGNITX, explains, the challenge now is implementation: funding, people, governance, expertise and operational capacity.
To bring the findings to a wider audience, IGNITX also hosted a webinar with representatives from and Re.Events.
