Majority of early July cases were resolved while most submissions from late July remain in administrative silence. It's worth noting that we had more applications in July, which 𝘮𝘢𝘺 explain the larger cohort in administrative silence.

August cases follow the same pattern as July: some of the earlier submissions had resolutions, while most late August submissions have either entered administrative silence or are awaiting document submissions.

September applications are still within their initial review window, which is expected at this stage.

If you’re wondering what's happening to applicants who filed for the DNV around the same time as you, here's what our recent case data shows.

As of 24 September 2026, June filings are fully resolved, with each case approved. July is where the split begins: early July cases are still mostly approving directly, but by late July, the majority had moved into administrative silence. August is following that same pattern, just a few weeks behind. Some August cases are also still in standard review or awaiting document requests, which is normal for a cohort this recent. If you're a September filer, it's simply too soon to read much into your status yet.

The takeaway: don't compare your case to someone who filed even a few weeks earlier or later than you. The cohort you filed in matters more right now than anything else.

On one of our files, we were asked to provide 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻-𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 in order to verify them and continue processing the file.

This is the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁. The documents were previously submitted as electronic copies.

As of September 14, 2026, Lakbyte has received 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀 from applicants who applied for the DNV in Spain.

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 of these approvals were applicants who entered Spain on a Spanish Schengen visa.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 entered Spain using Schengen visas issued by Denmark and the Netherlands, and 𝗼𝗻𝗲 Peruvian applicant who entered visa-free.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 dependent born in Spain was also approved.

𝗔𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆.
