As the Lantern Festival approaches, we’re marking the occasion with a special bowl of Tangyuan 湯圓at Nari LAB this weekend. 🌕

The Lantern Festival closes the Lunar New Year celebration. Traditionally, families gather to share tangyuan — round glutinous rice dumplings that symbolize reunion and wholeness. In Chinese, “圆” (yuán, round) echoes “团圆” (tuányuán, reunion) and “圆满” (yuánmǎn, completeness), making this simple bowl of sweetness a wish for togetherness and a fulfilled year ahead.

Their soft, sticky texture also carries meaning — closeness, staying connected, not drifting apart.

Our Nari special brings together both black sesame and red bean tangyuan — in different sizes — served with tapioca pearls, mango, fermented rice, and finished with a drizzle of housemade osmanthus honey syrup.
