Today on Pari Sanaa, we feature researcher Dr. Olga Cielemecka from Poland, who has been living and working in Finland for the past six years. The Episode begins in Polish, as Pari Sanaa is a space where native languages are celebrated. We believe language is not merely a system of communication, but an expression of identity and an authentic bridge that connects us beyond borders. In this conversation, we explore questions of identity and reflect on the meaning of "home" through a personal lens. We also discuss integration as an individual journey, where learning the language becomes not only practical, but essential in navigating and belonging to a new society. We touch on our Finnish neighborhoods, how we relate to them, and how everyday spaces shape our sense of belonging. This naturally leads us to the other side of the story: how Finland feels when we return to our countries of origin - and how our perception shifts between here and there. Pari Sanaa is a program that comes as part of a project combining writing with multimedia, funded by the SKR.
