Last week, Vaasa welcomed some royal guests: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. However, important guests have not been entirely uncommon in the history of the KWH Group either. Sometimes a minister has visited, and on occasion even the then President Urho Kekkonen. In the 1980s, Sir David Miers, British Ambassador (1983–1987), visited Vaasa as a guest of Håkan Smeds, CEO of KWH Pipe.

It looks like it is going to rain today in Vaasa. How sad! But even a rainy day can be brightened up with such things as a yellow umbrella. So let´s enjoy the week no matter what the weather is like!

The KWH Group’s equity ratio was 79% in 2025. This indicates excellent financial strength.

The KWH Group had an average of 2,697 employees in 2025. Of these, 867 worked outside Finland.

Helsingin Sanomat published a great article about Mirka. It emphasizes how important it is to develop a business with a long-term perspective and to invest boldly in new innovations. The article is in Finnish and behind a paywall.

It is again time to enjoy the beautiful Finnish Summer and relax. KWH group wants to wish you all a great Midsummer!
