Earlier this year, some of our Eastern Saints boys left Fiji to begin a new chapter of their lives in Japan π―π΅.
Today, they are based around Osaka continuing their education π while developing their rugby π in a completely new environment.
Our younger boys, Ephraim Bauleka and Etuate Baikeinuku have started their journey with the secondary school boys in Wakayama, while Ratu Tevita Sovalevu (Tu Te) has taken the next step into university, beginning his studies and rugby journey at Setsunan University in Osaka.
For us at Eastern Saints, this is something very special to see. These boys were once running around our fields in Suva, learning their rugby, building friendships and growing together.
Their journey is a reflection of what we have always believed β rugby can open doors, but it is the person you become through the journey that matters most.
We are proud to see the boys taking these opportunities and continuing to grow both academically and through rugby.
From the fields of Fiji π«π― to the land of the rising sun π―π΅ β the Eastern Saints journey continues.
Vinaka Vakalevu to their families, coaches, teachers and everyone who has supported them along the way.
Keep working hard, boys. Keep learning. Keep growing. And always remember where you started. ππ
πThe Wakayama High School went over to Setsunan University in Osaka for Collaboration Training camp. The Saints boys got to meet each other. π

After a long wait, we finally kicked off Kids Club !
A big Vinaka Vakalevu to all the children and families who turned up. β€οΈ
We believe this is the perfect time for our children to either practice and strengthen the basics of rugby or simply enjoy being active, running around and having fun with friends.
Not every session has to be about competition. Sometimes, itβs simply about getting outdoors, moving, learning, laughing and enjoying the game. ππ
We look forward to another few weeks of fun, learning and rugby.
See you all again on Thursday !!

Vinaka Vakalevu
Vinaka Vakalevu to Vilikesa Rimorimo and Tevita Batiweti for taking the time to visit Coach Bai whoβs with our Flying Fijians camp in Tokyo. π«π―π
It was especially wonderful to see two young men who were once part of the Eastern Saints Rugby family now continuing their journey in Japan.
Vilikesa attended Queen Victoria School (QVS) and, after completing his secondary education, made the decision to spend a whole year pursuing his passion for rugby with Eastern Saints.
That commitment, dedication and belief in his rugby journey eventually opened the door for him to Rissho University in Japan.
Today, Vilikesa is in his fourth and final year at Rissho University, continuing to pursue both his education and rugby.
Tevita Batiweti also came through our Eastern Saints Juniors, joining the club at U16 and continuing through U18, before taking the next step in his journey and moving to Japan. He is now also attending Rissho University, where he continues to combine his studies with his passion for rugby.
As a club, these are the journeys that make us proud. β€οΈ
From Eastern Saints in Fiji to Rissho University in Japan β we are proud to have played a small part in their journey. π«π―ππ―π΅
Vinaka vakalevu, Bill and Tex for taking the time to visit .
It was lovely to see you both and to see how far your journeys have taken you. πβ€οΈ
We have been awfully quiet these past few weeks. π€
Yes, we had to take a little break after a beautiful and very busy week of hosting children from the Tikina o Namena, Tailevu for Miloβs Tag Rugby Community Programme.
This wonderful initiative, made possible through Milo Fiji, gave us the opportunity to bring the good works of rugby to children in our rural communities during the school holidays. ππ΄
It was more than just rugby. It was about giving children an opportunity to play, learn, make new friends, enjoy themselves and experience the values that rugby can bring into their lives.
And what made it even more special was seeing each child return home with a gift from Milo β a rugby ball of their very own. β€οΈπ
Across this event alone, more than 300 rugby balls were distributed to the children, their villages and communities.
This is what community rugby is all about β reaching beyond the usual fields, taking the game to our children and planting little seeds of opportunity, confidence and joy wherever we go. π±π
We are grateful to Milo Fiji for making this possible and to all the communities, parents, children, coaches and volunteers who made the week so special.
Rugby is more than a game. It is a way of bringing communities together and creating better people through rugby. ππ
