Baumi Script Development Award

Karl "Baumi" Baumgartner was a film producer and distributor with an extraordinary eye for high-quality art-house film. As a tribute to his work, and in order to support his vision of free, independent script development of outstanding, international cinematic stories, Martina and Sandra Baumgartner, his co-founded Pandora Film and the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW establish the Baumi Script Development Award, wich includes a prize money of 20.000 Euros. To be eligible for the Award, applicants must already have had at least one of their scripts filmed and it is obligatory to submit applications along with a production company attached. The jury will be made up of the benefactors and one alternating, renowned, international filmmaker. The award ceremony will take place during Berlinale.
