Light festivals season is starting!

Pia Vidal and Emilien Guesnard are taking part in the programming of the Light Move Festival in Poland 🇵🇱 which this year centers on the theme of dreams

🏢 Pia brings a dreamlike mapping projection that immerses both children and adults in the mysterious and enchanting world of the Yōkai. As the sun sets over Tokyo’s countless streets, shadows lengthen and eyes close. And so begins a Japanese dream, in which the fantastical world of the yōkai awakens. These mischievous and vengeful creatures sneak into dreams, haunting the sleep of little people and disrupting the nights of the great men

🌈 Emilien shows a 360° immersive projection based on his personal collection of vintage projectors: the Psychedelic Light Show installation is a true alchemy of living light, projecting ever-changing shapes in a 1970s atmosphere. The soundtrack, composed especially for the occasion by the ever-present Disque Noir, is both dreamlike and rhythmic and accompanies the vintage images displayed through these projectors, which are now collector’s items

🏮 Taking place September 25–27, on the streets of Łódź

POINT OF (NO) RETURN was at Vivid Sydney festival, the biggest outdoor immersive light installations festival of Australia

Created by Norwegian artist Anastasia Isachsen, whose country faces unprecedented arctic melting, the installation is a thought-provoking metaphor for how each individual impacts the environment – both for better and worse.

Glacial beauty draws you in, as crystalline blues and white swirl across a mesmerising 6m-diametre cylindrical LED screen. But step closer and the colours melt, transforming into a gorgeous, destructive storm. Move back, and the ice is restored, for now.

Winner of a LIT Lighting Design Award, this interactive installation uses motion sensors and a stirring score by revered Norwegian composer Nils Petter Molvaer to ask an urgent question about of climate: Are we at the point of no return, or is there still hope?

A look back at last January with pictures of Émilien Guesnard emblematic work "αsklipion", displayed outdoor at minus 15 degrees on the occasion of Vilnius Light Festival

αsklipion translates plants into light and sound. The work offers a soothing, almost therapeutic experience. Its light and sound programming is constructed in harmony with the medicinal properties of each plant. Relaxing, it recalls the processes of light therapy and music therapy.
αsklipion is an ode to nature, a haven of peace in the bustle of the city.

We were in charge of part of the light show in Ville de Saint-Genis-Laval on December 6, with three custom-made installations.

Les Scintillons (Pia Vidal): for thousands of years, in Saint-Genis-Laval, the Light has been preparing itself. Hidden in the walls, stone, and concrete, it has infused itself into the fabric of the city, waiting for its moment. Today, it awakens to flood the world of humans once again. On the occasion of the Festival of Lights, guided by six Scintillons, it emerges from the shadows to reveal its messages to you.

Psychedelic Light Show (Émilien Guesnard & Disque Noir): created from Emilien’s personal collection of vintage projectors, the Psychedelic Light Show offers a true alchemy of living light, projecting ever-changing shapes in a seventies atmosphere.

Moving Shadow (Émilien Guesnard): a light, a circular movement: almost nothing. Yet the rotation creates shadows that stretch, slide, and recompose themselves around the viewer. Everyone sees their body become a moving, fragile trace, redrawn with each turn. Moving Shadow offers an experience where light reveals presence as much as it makes it flicker.

Thank you Ville de Saint-Genis-Laval for making it happen ღ
