📢 🇫🇷 Neoen Starts Construction on 122MW Solar Portfolio Across France

French independent power producer Neoen has started construction on a 122MW solar PV portfolio comprising four projects across France.

The portfolio combines two agrivoltaic developments, a floating solar project and a large ground-mounted solar installation at a military site, demonstrating a diversified approach to renewable generation and land use.

Project Highlights

• Total solar capacity: 122MW

• Developer: Neoen

• Country: France

• Projects: Four solar PV facilities

• Current stage: Construction

• Planned commissioning: First half of 2028 for the three projects with disclosed dates

• EPC contractors: Sireos and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes

• Floating solar specialist: Ciel & Terre

Scope of Work

The portfolio includes:

• Saint-Just Solar Farm: 30MW agrivoltaic project in Cher

• La Ferme des Cros Solar Farm: 16MW agrivoltaic project in Charente

• Matignicourt floating solar project: 35MWp total, including 28MWp of floating PV across four reservoirs

• Brétigny-sur-Orge military base: 41MWp solar project south of Paris

The two agrivoltaic projects will combine solar generation with sheep farming.

Key Project Features

• Saint-Just construction and maintenance: Sireos

• La Ferme des Cros construction and maintenance: Eiffage Énergie Systèmes

• Matignicourt FPV design and anchoring: Ciel & Terre

• Floating solar anchoring works targeted for completion before the end of October 2026

• Brétigny-sur-Orge project awarded through a 2021 French Ministry of the Armed Forces tender

• Brétigny expected to become Neoen's largest solar farm in Île-de-France

→ The four projects add a combination of agrivoltaic, floating and conventional solar technologies to Neoen's French construction pipeline.

The 122MW portfolio strengthens France's renewable generation pipeline while demonstrating how solar projects are being integrated across agricultural land, former industrial sites, water bodies and public-sector land.
