MITRA France
MITRA FRANCE is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation established in Nice, France, in 2015. MITRA FRANCE a plusieurs buts :
1) .

Empowering youth workers, trainers, and educators with practical tools to challenge hate speech and disinformation!
The Hateless.eu project offers open-access educational materials designed to support participatory youth work and inclusive media literacy:
• Methodological Guidelines: Practical guidance on youth participation, deconstructing hate speech, participatory research, creative digital tools, video production, and facilitator training.
• Training Toolkit: 6 modular training topics covering European values, digital platform dynamics, research exploration, participatory action, technical video guides, and reflective learning.
• Repository of Impact Monitoring Tools: A collection of 15 qualitative and quantitative tools for evaluating learning outcomes and the impact of participatory activities.
• Train the Trainer Handouts: A series of 12 ready-to-use handouts organised into four progressive training sessions. Each session includes a learning path, an energiser, and a participatory main activity that guides participants towards creating short videos, inclusive stories, and constructive counter-narratives.
Together, these resources equip youth workers, trainers, and educators to involve young people as active co-creators who can critically examine harmful narratives, express their own perspectives, develop meaningful counter-narratives, and contribute to more inclusive and resilient communities.

On May 23rd, the Mitra France team organised in Nice its first training session as part of the cascade training for youth workers, replicating the training received by four NGO members in Tallinn (Estonia) within the framework of the Erasmus+ Hate-Less project. The event was hosted at the offices of Ligne 16, a participatory media platform. After introductions, we gave a brief presentation of the Erasmus+ Programme, the Hate-Less project, its website, guidelines, and the toolkit designed for youth workers (https://hate-less.eu/).
The morning was dedicated to hate speech and online disinformation. Using concrete examples from social media, participants were able to discuss populism, masculinism, and scams/fake news. This was also an opportunity to analyse different persuasion techniques and the role of algorithms, and to identify clues to better educate young people who are exposed to such content daily. After the lunch break, discussions resumed with new practical exercises and a quiz entitled "Identifying biases and manipulation." Youth workers discussed the implementation of participatory research on the topics they wish to present to young people, and the production, together with them, of participatory videos as a continuation of the cascade training.
The Hate-Less project is co-funded by the European Commission.
