In early July, the two “top contenders for the European throne” 👑 – from countries that aren’t even sovereign – faced off in a clash of semi-pro dreams 💭.

In the end, Lincoln Red Imps triumphed …only to get knocked out in round 2 by Red Star Belgrade 🇷🇸. Shock? Not really. 🙄

But let’s be honest for a sec – did this whole thing really need to happen? ✈️🧳
Do two amateur teams need to travel across Europe for this?

Of course not. Everyone knows they won’t go far.

Like both semifinals, the final is being played at MetLife Stadium 🏟️ – home to the New York Giants and New York Jets – located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just outside New York City 🗽.

FIFA plans to hold the tournament every 4 years in the future – but there has already been criticism, especially from Europe.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has stated he will do everything he can to prevent another edition... 😳
