This 40 year old Damascene mirror was gifted to me by my parents and has been quietly sitting in my studio for years.

Whenever I worked on my large scale paintings, I would catch fragments of them reflected in the mirror. Somehow, each reflection felt like a little artwork of its own a smaller world existing within the larger one.

Those accidental reflections sparked a new idea: to take fragments from my larger worlds and transform them into smaller, intimate editions, each held within its own frame.

Funny how something that had been quietly sitting in my studio all along ended up inspiring an entirely new direction in my work

The second post is how my inspiration started
The rest are collages I tried to test it out❤️

Watching this one slowly come to life

This old Damascene mirror was gifted to me by my parents. It’s around 40 years old and has been sitting in my studio ever since.

Whenever I worked on my large scale paintings, I would catch fragments of them reflected in the mirror. Each time, the reflection somehow felt like a little artwork of its own a smaller world existing inside the larger one.

That accidental reflection sparked a new idea: to take fragments of my larger worlds and turn them into smaller, intimate editions, each held within its own frame.

💌

October 2025.

It all began with one huge tube that travelled with me from Beirut to Paris, and then from Paris to Dubai. Inside were more than paintings... they were my thoughts, my subconscious, my babies. Pieces of myself that I was still learning to understand.

It wasn’t that long ago, yet somehow, so much has happened since. Those paintings travelled with me, grew with me, opened doors, brought so many beautiful encounters and people into my life.

One of my favorite feelings ->
watching my paintings start their second life in a collector’s home
