Dramatic weather as well as the ocean air, midnight sun or northern lights could be part of my photography, while all my work is created with respect, love and care for our nature and its beautiful souls. The sound of 130 horses crossing Húnavatn 🫶🐎
Traveling by and with horses has been part of Icelandic life for over 1000 years.
Long before roads connected the country, horses carried people across glacial rivers, lava fields, mountains, and through whatever weather Iceland decided to throw at them.
Riding with this day wasn’t different.
The wind picked up, a sandstorm rolled in and suddenly the herd disappeared into clouds of volcanic ash. No one slowed down. The horses simply kept going - as they’ve done for centuries.
And this is exactly what we can learn from them:
We can’t control the storm.
We can only choose how we move through it 🫶
