This girl who can't dance who stole my heart when I was 16. And we both wiped tears from our eyes at this wedding of Joe and Marisa.

Who wore it better? Of course Joe Brosnan did at the rehearsal dinner for his wedding tomorrow. So proud to know this guy and excited for his future with lovely Marisa.

Great night celebrating the release of my buddy Sarah Pekkanen 's new novel, The Women In White, which the NYT called "the book everyone will be reading this summer." I tease Sarah a bit but she's a writer's writer and I'm proud to call her a true friend.

Such a fun night getting to hang with Lisa Unger and Jeff on their visit to DC and of course Tracy Franze and Sarah Pekkanen and Anthony always make things lively. We celebrated Sarah's pub date tomorrow and our pal, another favorite Lisa Lisa Gardner and her book release as well.

Both Lisas helped me tremendously early in my writing career and it means so much to now call them friends. I could also say similarly nice things about Sarah but will not.

Someone sent me this and I'm really proud this book I loved writing (they aren't all that way) keeps hanging in there. Thanks bookstagramers and booktokers who have helped so much.

Such a fun week co-teaching at the Leopardi Writing Conference writing conference in Udine, Italy with my friends Jennifer Hillier and Sarah Pekkanen and super agent Lisa Erbach Vance. It was an honor to work with such a talented group of writers, not to mention making so many new friends. Most of being a writer isn't this.
