Introducing the GorillaSharpener 🦍✏️available MB&F LAB PARIS

For the MB&F M.A.D.Gallery Genève’s 15th anniversary, MB&F and Caran d'Ache have given an iconic Swiss childhood object a rather unexpected new form.

Designed by Maximilian Maertens, the famous Caran d’Ache pencil sharpener now stands on stainless-steel and cast-iron limbs – part sharpener, part mechanical creature, and still fully functional. Perhaps offering one more reason to put down the screen and pick up a pencil again 😉

Finished in Alpine Frost blue and limited to 300 pieces, the GorillaSharpener launches on September 24th, World Gorilla Day.

To mark the occasion, MB&F is partnering with The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, supporting its work to protect endangered mountain gorillas 🙏🏻

This year marks 15 years of the MB&F M.A.D.Gallery Genève. What began as an experiment has become an essential part of our universe - from Geneva to Dubai and across our MB&F Labs worldwide - a true meeting point for our community and the artists we admire!

To celebrate, we’re unveiling special anniversary editions by the artists who shaped its story. First: Frank Buchwald Design , one of the earliest believers in the project ❤️

Kicking off the series is his latest Machine Light, the ML15 Helios. Limited to 15 pieces, it’s conceived as a mechanical sun - powerful, calm and precise. A central spherical bulb glows within a halo-like ring, framed by two transparent blue circles that evoke an eye or a measuring instrument. As with all of Frank’s creations, each piece is entirely handcrafted and takes weeks to complete 🦾

Now available at the Mb&f Lab in Paris ☝🏼

Introducing the SP One Pavée 💎

A year after introducing the SP One, our unexpected take on an elegant 38mm watch returns in a new interpretation.

Crafted in 18K white gold and set with 255 diamonds, the SP One Pavée keeps the original architecture untouched: three key elements – barrel, balance wheel and inclined dial – seemingly floating at the centre of the watch.

The diamond setting follows the curves of the case, amphitheatre, crown and buckle, while a new dark blue dial completes the transformation.

A more precious SP One, but still very much an SP One 😉

Introducing Nostromo, an alien-like co-creation with our good Friends at Maison Alcée 👽

We’ve loved what Maison Alcée has been doing since the very beginning. Founded by Alcée and Benoît Montfort, their idea is as unusual as it is brilliant: instead of simply buying a beautiful mechanical clock, they give you everything you need to build it yourself. In fact, the MB&F M.A.D.Gallery was the very first boutique to believe in their project.

So for our MB&F M.A.D.Gallery Genève ‘s 15th anniversary, it felt only natural to create something together. The result is Nostromo – a true co-creation between our two worlds, designed by MB&F Creative Designer Maximilian Maertens and crafted by Maison Alcée!

Inspired by Max’s love for H.R. Giger and the Alien universe, Nostromo is an alien-like mechanical clock composed of 222 components, which you assemble yourself in around 10 hours, even with no previous watchmaking experience.

Once brought to life, it displays hours, minutes and seconds, features an hour chime, offers a 14-day power reserve… and can even rotate on its three organic-looking legs.

MB&F LAB PARIS Each Nostromo comes with all the necessary tools and a 250-page illustrated instruction book to guide you through the journey.

Limited to 50 pieces, available at our M.A.D.Galleries, MB&F LABs, and at the link in our bio ☝🏼

Saw the MB&F exhibition at Chronopassion with and my good friend Alexa de La Rochefoucauld whom I thank for her perfect welcome and her in-depth explanations 🤩🥰❤️‍🔥! These watches are certainly polarizing but are fascinating… They are something at the cross of Haute Horlogerie, architecture and science fiction which is pretty brilliant even if, regarding MB&F, I have a serious soft spot for the LM101 Evo which I find absolutely mesmerizing, combining captivating dials (the blue lagoon one released last year is 🤤🤤🤤), thinness, lightness and sportiness, with a movement made by none less than Voutilainen as a true cherry on the cake 🍒! Among the watches displayed yesterday, I seriously liked the Moon Machine, made in collaboration with Sarpaneva (swipe to see it). The blue hues of the sky for the moonphase were pretty stellar 🛸✨! And what I found brilliant, enhancing all the genius of MB&F is that you can wear it as a destro or as a usual watch as both senses worked ! I also found the work on the HM11 pretty brilliant. The very thin lugs, the clover-shaped wheel on the tourbillon cage, the blued hues of the case and the overall design reminding some of the most futuristic American private mansions was to die for, while the watch remained pretty wearable… Very good discoveries, a very good moment of horology with interesting discussions, as always with Alexa and the Chronopassion crew, and I will come back tomorrow as I noticed something VERY interesting and that EVERYONE forgot about between MB&F and… My favorite brand 😉😉😉😉! ⌚️ watchcollector⌚️MB&F LAB PARIS

Walking through this MB&F exhibition feels like traveling through our own history.
Our journey with MB&F began at the very birth of the brand. We had the privilege of selling the very first HM1, the watch that started this extraordinary adventure. None of us could have imagined where that first creation would lead.
Every single piece on display once passed through Chronopassion. We introduced them, defended them, explained them... and, one by one, found them a home.
Seeing them reunited today is both surreal and deeply emotional. They have become icons, museum pieces and milestones of contemporary watchmaking. Yet we still remember when each new Horological Machine arrived, challenging every convention and redefining what a watch could be.
Back then, choosing an MB&F wasn’t the obvious choice. It took vision, curiosity and the courage to be different. The collectors who believed from the very beginning weren’t simply buying watches—they were helping write the history of independent watchmaking.
They were the true trendsetters.
To Max and the entire MB&F team, thank you for letting us be part of this incredible journey from day one. And to every collector who trusted MB&F and Chronopassion before the world caught on—this exhibition is your story too.
