Gina Vor is clear about what she is, not an artist in the conventional sense, but a master of abstraction, driven not by ambition but by pure self-expression and the discovery of aesthetics through colour, line and brushstroke.
She trained in her father’s atelier and nowhere else, avoided art school deliberately to stay free of influence and works under a pseudonym to keep her distance from the part of the art world she has no interest in. Her practice moves between gestural expressionism and deliberate minimalism with equal conviction, each piece made through a deeply personal and meditative process and yet never meant for her alone.

Andrea Serra was born in Lecce in 1981 into a family built around art: His grandfather a wood sculptor, his mother an art teacher, and at 14 encountered the limestone of lower Salento for the first time, forming a bond with the material that has never broken.

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, he works exclusively with stone quarried from the seabed of his homeland, a warm fossil-rich limestone that carries the memory of the land in every surface. Each piece is carved from a single block using hammer, chisel and tools he makes himself, the forms emerging through a process he describes as an exchange of energy between himself and the stone.

His Kintsugi series extends this dialogue further, tracing gold through the cracks in a gesture borrowed from the Japanese philosophy that breakage and repair are part of an object’s history rather than a flaw to conceal.

Winner of the Vigna d’argento award in 2025 and exhibited nationally and internationally, Serra is an Italian sculptor whose practice is rooted in one of the oldest and most specific relationships between an artist and a material. Tatiana Malinovscaia works in acrylic and exploits its fast-drying nature deliberately, building texture and colour in layers that carry the energy of quick confident decisions accumulated over time.
Her abstract landscapes and minimal compositions move between gestural intensity and quiet restraint, gold and ochre pushing through grey and silver in works that bring real depth and warmth into contemporary interiors. Atmosphere and emotional connection are at the centre of her practice, each canvas calibrated to carry calmness and quiet energy into the spaces it enters.

Rita Bohoslavska is a graphic designer and digital artist whose practice moves between digital creation, manual acrylic finishing, and Ai producing paintings that are contemporary in process and intimate in feeling.
Her visual language is botanical but her themes run deeper: flowers as symbols of isolation, transformation and quiet inner strength.

Self-taught and born in 1960, François Poulat practice began after a trip to southern China where he watched traditional ink painters work with remarkable dexterity and came home determined to find his own version of that mastery. He works across acrylic, resin, pigments and plexiglass, with a technical signature that is very much his own . He layers of resin and plexiglass giving his paintings a physical depth and luminosity that photographs struggle to capture.
Animals are at the heart of his practice, painted with beauty, strength and a genuine conviction that art can make people care about the living world.

Konstantin Danilov, known as Zmogk, was one of the pioneers of Russia’s 1990s graffiti scene and has since built a studio practice in Athens, where colour and structure have become the primary tools for exploring something far more interior; adaptation, loss, the fragile psychological states that define what it means to exist between two worlds.

His three long-term projects: Borderline States, Integration and Limits of Intervention. Each examine a different dimension of that threshold experience, working through semi-abstract landscape, layered colour field and restrained figurative trace to map moments of quiet pressure and slow transformation. His active perimeter technique, in which he paints the sides of each canvas as an emotional membrane rather than a neutral border, adds a concealed layer of meaning that resonates beyond what the eye first registers.

Works held in the RuArts Foundation, the Montresso Foundation and the STRAAT Museum, with group shows at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Burning Man/Sotheby’s in New York

April is World Art Month at Singulart and while we’ve been dedicating each week to a different medium, we realised we never properly celebrated the one that started it all. So we’re circling back to photography.
