⛵ A new member is setting sail with EPC!

We are happy to welcome Miloš Ivanović of Set Sail Films from Serbia.

Miloš Ivanović is a Belgrade-based producer and co-founder of Set Sail Films, with a track record spanning international co-productions, festival successes, and theatrical releases across Europe.

His feature documentary The Lost Dream Team (2025) closed the P**a Film Festival, received a wide regional theatrical release, and is available on Netflix, with Goodfellas handling worldwide sales. His documentary Speak So I Can See You premiered at IDFA in 2019, screened at MoMA Doc Fortnight in 2020, and won the Grand Prix at Beldocs.

His fiction credits include Snow and the Bear (Toronto IFF 2022, distributed by HBO) and 78 Days, which premiered at IFF Rotterdam in 2024 and went on to screen at more than 40 festivals, winning over 20 international awards.

Earlier credits include the short films Dos Patrias (ACID Cannes 2017) and Of Slaves and Robots (Annecy and Animafest Zagreb 2016).

Miloš holds an MA from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, is a former president of DOKSerbia, and is an alumnus of the EAVE Producers Workshop.

🇱🇹 A new arrival from Lithuania joins the EPC community!

We are very happy to welcome Marija Razgutė of M Films.

M FILMS develops bold, character-driven films by emerging and established filmmakers, with a strong focus on international co-production and distinctive auteur voices.

Recent titles include Andrius Blaževičius’ How to Divorce During the War (Best Director, Sundance 2026), which is Lithuania's official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards (Oscars), Karolis Kaupinis’ Hunger Strike Breakfast (Warsaw and Tallinn 2025), Valentyn Vasyanovych’s To the Victory! (Toronto IFF 2025), Zhannat Alshanova’s Becoming (Locarno 2025), and Vytautas Katkus’ The Visitor (Best Director, Karlovy Vary IFF 2025).

Previous successes include Marija Kavtaradze’s Slow (Best Director, Sundance 2023) and Katkus’ short Cherries, which premiered in the Official Short Film Competition at Cannes in 2022.

Founded by producer Marija Razgutė, M FILMS is led by a team of three producers, including Brigita Beniušytė, who joined the company in 2017 and helped expand its international activities.

The team has participated in leading industry programmes including ACE Producers, EAVE, Torino Feature Lab, Rotterdam Lab, Berlinale Talents, and Green Film Lab, while its projects have been selected for major co-production platforms including the Berlinale Co-Production Market, Les Arcs, When East Meets West, Baltic Event, and New Nordic Films.

M FILMS has co-produced with partners across Europe and beyond, including Luxembourg, Ireland, Spain, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Latvia, and Georgia, with projects regularly supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, Eurimages, ESFUF, and national and regional film funds.

Since 2019, the company has also hosted the POP UP Film Residency in Vilnius, fostering international collaboration and emerging projects, including Becoming, which subsequently became an M FILMS co-production.

We are happy to welcome Pille Rünk and Ivo Felt of Allfilm from Estonia.

Allfilm is one of Estonia’s longest-standing film production companies, founded in 1995 with the ambition to build an internationally connected, independent production environment.
Over three decades, Allfilm has produced more than 80 feature films as well as documentaries, TV series and shorts, many realised as co-productions.

The company has worked with a wide range of established and emerging directors, resulting in films that premiered at leading film festivals and received extensive recognition, numerous awards as well as nominations for the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.

Alongside its own slate, the company remains a trusted production service partner for international productions, combining strong expertise with access to the local cash rebate and regional incentives.

Today, Allfilm continues to develop and produce director-driven, artistically ambitious projects, while actively supporting new talent and maintaining long-term international collaborations.

We are happy to welcome Panos Papahadzis and Edouardos Kalimeris of Argonauts Productions from Greece.

Founded in 2003 by producer Panos Papahadzis, whose producing career spans more than 60 films, Argonauts Productions S.A. is an Athens-based independent production company specializing in feature films, television drama, documentaries, international co-productions, and production services.

With more than 40 film and television projects to its credit, including 17 debut features, the company has built a strong track record in auteur-driven cinema and international co-production.

Its international credits include David Cronenberg’s Crimes of the Future (2022), an official Canada–Greece treaty co-production, and the Amazon Prime Video series House of David, alongside acclaimed films such as Yannis Economides’ Broken Vein, recently selected as Greece’s official submission for the 99th Academy Awards, Tailor, and Behind the Haystacks.

Argonauts’ productions have screened at major international festivals including Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Toronto, Rotterdam, Locarno, Karlovy Vary, and Thessaloniki. The company also provides production services for international film and television projects shooting in Greece, bringing extensive expertise in physical production, financing, co-production structures, and Greek production incentives.

What a wonderful way to close the 83rd Venice International Film Festival!

We are delighted to congratulate our members behind two award-winning films:

🎬 I Matter by Alina Șerban, produced by Micro FILM and co-produced by Lemming Film, received the Venezia Spotlight Audience Award.
🎬 Balcanica by Nicola Sorcinelli, produced by Nightswim and co-produced by Wildside and This and That Productions, received both the Giornate degli Autori Audience Award and the Premio Carlo Lizzani.

A huge congratulations to all the producers and creative teams involved! 👏

But there was another development in Venice that deserves particular attention.

🎬 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼.
The seeds planted by the campaign EPC launched a year ago are bearing fruit.

Following our meeting in Cannes with Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera and Angela Savoldi, and their presence at our panel, “Recognising the Creative Contribution of Producers”, during the Venice Film Festival, we were delighted to see words turn into action.

At the closing ceremony, producers were invited onto the stage alongside directors to share the recognition their films received. This happened not only for the Best Film but also for awards such as the Venezia Spotlight Audience Award and the Venice Award for a Debut Film. Is this a sign that the tide is turning? The EPC campaign and its recommendations have led to productive conversations with major festivals. This important move may look like a small change, but it is not: stages are maps of power. Producers must be recognized as creative forces and made visible when the films they originated and brought into existence are celebrated.

A very big thank you to Alberto Barbera, Angela Savoldi, and the La Biennale di Venezia Venice Film Festival for listening and taking this meaningful step. We hope Venice will make this practice permanent and that other festivals and award ceremonies will follow.

Recognising producers as creative forces 🎬

At the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, the European Producers Club hosted the panel “Recognising the Creative Contribution of Producers” at the Venice Production Bridge, continuing a conversation EPC launched one year ago on the need to give producers greater visibility and recognition across the film industry.

With opening remarks by Alberto Barbera, the discussion brought together Tricia Tuttle, Ahmed Shawky, Carlo Cresto-Dina, and Ada Solomon, moderated by Tim Dams, and closed with remarks from EPC President Dariusz Jabłoński.

The conversation highlighted how the lack of recognition for producers remains a systemic issue and why producers need to be acknowledged not only for financing and logistics but also as an integral part of the creative process behind films and series.

One year on, progress has been made, but there is still work to do. EPC will continue advocating for greater recognition of producers across festivals, award ceremonies and the press, while also raising awareness within film schools, where the next generation of filmmakers and producers is being shaped.
