For LII’s SS 2027 show, Zane Li winner of this year’s LVMH Karl Lagerfeld prize asks whether we can truly miss something we never knew. This collection considers how feelings, memories and nostalgia can be inherited through music, film and fashion, blurring imagination and lived experience. Looking at the 1960s that the designer never experienced, the SS27 collection reinterprets the era’s codes through his contemporary lens.

For her Spring Summer 2027 collection titled ‘Yard Sale Liberation’, Council of Fashion Designers of America nominee zoe gustavia anna whalen took over a restaurant space on New York’s Canal Street, exploring themes of community and resistance in everyday tasks. Embracing this intimate atmosphere, the designer personally cut and served a handmade stone fruit cake to guests before unveiling a wardrobe that demonstrated a new level of polish for the brand, seamlessly translating her signature hand-crafted approach into draped gowns, soft quilted corsets and undergarments cut from picnic blankets.

SOUL — Office Hours
From Ithaca in the state of New York, artist o•nah•jay•way explores personal and family archival narratives through sculptural collage. Meeting with A Magazine Curated By Editor ⠞⠓⠑⠊⠎, she answers the core questions posed in the open call: why do you design, who do you design for and how do you describe your creative process?
For Onajevwe, creation is a means of survival that provides a space to voice her thoughts and share the story of the Black diaspora. To reflect these historical tales of oppression, she uses religious iconography with the hope that these messages will resonate with a wider audience, particularly Black youth. This desire to connect is guided by an intuitive process, one in which she invites ‘spirit guides’ to help her craft pieces defined by risk-taking and spontaneity.

‘My brand is about me and my life in Tokyo.’
After moving to Tokyo and being immersed in the local Harajuku community, KentaOrimi /折見健太 channelled his experience as a vintage buyer into opening the select shop T H E E L E P H A N T in 2018. Wanting to add his own creations to the store’s curated mix of designer and vintage garments, he took the next natural step and, two years later, launched his eponymous label ORIMI as a direct reflection of his life in the city.
Just days before presenting his latest Spring Summer 2027 collection at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO, he welcomed A Magazine Curated By Editor-in-Chief Blake Abbie 王立民 into his wood-panelled studio. In the middle of the preparations for the show, they discussed translating decorative European military details into new silhouettes, his intuitive design process and how the unconventional spirit of the city shapes his communal philosophy.

Canadian scientist and environmental advocate David Suzuki has spent decades examining the ecological costs of treating human systems as separate from nature. Just this summer, he has announced: ‘Now, it is too late…. we’re in the extreme danger zone.’ As global temperatures rise and heatwaves intensify, his perspective is reflected in the central theme of Issue N°21 curated by and : ‘Human Nature / Mother Nature.’
Throughout the publication, nature is explored through its inherent beauty alongside the stark realities of a changing climate. Spanning Stefan Schlumpf’s documentation of the melting Rhône Glacier in Switzerland, shaniqwa jarvis’s Icelandic landscapes, the British Columbian wilderness captured by both Heiko Keinath and Edward Burtynsky and vincenzo castella’s floral study in Milan, the photography provides a direct assessment of the natural world today as explored in Suzuki’s work, echoing how inseparable humanity is from the environment, serving as an urgent call to protect it.

For Spring Summer 2027, Hillary Taymour approached Collina Strada differently. Working outside the usual constraints of production, the New York-based designer used deadstock, test swatches and fabric experiments accumulated over the years in her studio to create ‘Delirium in Bloom’, a one-off collection for Copenhagen.
The show marked Collina Strada’s first outside New York and Copenhagen Fashion Week’s inaugural International Guest Slot during its 20th anniversary season. Ahead of the show, A Magazine Curated By’s Managing Editor Jemma Pinueva met Hillary to discuss her collaboration with hairstylist eugenesouleiman, the spectacle of 1990s fashion she misses today and the perfectionist tension that drives her work.

A girl follows a lone star outside her window, sneaks out to meet her skater and musician friends and goes to a gig. For their Spring Summer 2027 collection, Paolina Russo and Lucile Guilmard return to their adolescence, domestic craft, local sports and music that have long shaped their Paolina Russo world.
Ahead of their fourth Copenhagen Fashion Week show, during its 20th anniversary season, A Magazine’s Managing Editor Jemma Pinueva met the designers between fittings and final preparations to talk about growing up far from fashion capitals, building an independent label with your closest friends and learning to love the business side of fashion.
The conversation ended with a tarot reading. Paolina pulled The Star. The collection, fittingly, is called Lone Star.

“But if I leave, nothing changes.”
More than a decade after founding J.Kim in Moscow, Jenia Kim returned to Tashkent, the city where she was born. What began as a personal search for identity gradually became a larger question: what does it mean to build something in the place you come from — and to take responsibility for what might come after you?
A Magazine Curated By’s Managing Editor Jemma Pinueva visited Jenia at her studio in Tashkent to talk about her Koryo-saram identity, building J.Kim from Uzbekistan, the fear that once drove her, and her hopes for a new generation of local designers.
