Hard news, Glen's passing. I met him way back when I was a teenager busking on Grafton street. I remember when he arrived on the Street - just a kid, with a shock of red hair and giving it loads of welly.
He was one of the good guys. When we played together he always made a point of putting me in the spotlight. He was an inspiring and generous artist. I only worked occasionally with him but one of my favorite concerts was when he and I did an impromptu duo gig in the Footsbarn Travelling Theatre tent at Electric Picnic a few years ago. Just the two of us. It was magic.
I once asked him the key of a song we were about to play - he said "I'm not telling you. The less you know about a song the better you play it."
My thoughts are with his family.

This is the Palestinian DJ I met last night.
She’s playing in Glendalough, Ireland soon.

I met a Palestinian DJ last night. DJ Sama.
We talked about Gaza.
As they say in Ireland. “It hasn’t gone away you know…”
When I wrote this song the death toll in Gaza was 45 thousand. When I sang it in this video I think I say 55 thousand. Now it’s 75 thousand (conservative figure) and every has forgotten because of that dangerous hideous buffoon, Trump’s 3 month “2 week” Iran war.
Do share.
Show your rage.
