The “Osaka Sakai” balloon has just received the Special Jury Prize at the 10th “Japan Tourism Award,” selected from among 272 entries.
This is a wonderful recognition for this Aerophile tethered balloon, which offers an exceptional aerial view of Sakai's ancient Kofun burial mounds, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The balloon allows visitors to explore this heritage from a unique perspective, while respecting the site and producing no noise or pollution.

After shining all summer long in the heart Paris, the Olympic Cauldron balloon is being deflated. It’s now time for an impressive technical operation with a focus on sustainability: ♻️ The approximately 6,000 m³ of helium is being recovered and compressed to 200 bars so it can be reused.

This is a true circular economy initiative, particularly important for a precious resource like helium.

The Aerophile teams are hard at work, in collaboration with 45-8 ENERGY: it will take nearly 3 days, around the clock, to recover and compress all the gas.

Behind the Olympic Cauldron’s spectacular flights lies a great deal of technology, precision, and well-oiled logistics.

And for anyone who hasn’t yet had the chance to see it up close, the Olympic Cauldron will be back at the Tuileries next summer, starting June 21!

A special evening for the Olympic Cauldron! On Friday evening, as Céline Dion returned to the Paris stage, her name lit up the Olympic Cauldron above the Tuileries Garden.

Two years after her unforgettable performance of L’Hymne à l’amour at the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, it was a beautiful way to celebrate her return to Paris. ❤️
