A treasured institution in the 9th arrondissement, Le Bon Georges is a lively bistrot where the menu is written daily on a chalkboard and the food celebrates the finest local produce. The w**e list, over 2,000 references deep, is curated by a team who lives for uncovering a hidden gem.

Three years hunting through flea markets and brocantes across Paris. The result: a collection of vintage ceramic ashtrays from the great institutions of French hospitality. Hotel George V. Café de Flore. Le Train Bleu. Fouquet’s. Hotel Lutetia. Each one unique. Each one a small portrait of a place that mattered.

No object was ever branded with more care and less self-consciousness than the restaurant ashtray.

For more than 150 years, Le Buci has been part of the soul of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
