This session brings together global and regional perspectives to explore how ethical communication, inclusive engagement, and human-centred digital transformation can help museums remain resilient and relevant in challenging contexts.

Selected grantees will receive travel support of up to EUR 500 to attend the Back to Basics Conference, hosted jointly by ICOM COMMS and ICOMON.

Additionally, you will receive complimentary full conference registration; a dedicated presentation slot to share your work with peers and senior professionals; and a formal certificate designating you as ICOM COMMS New Talent 2026.

The COMMS Awards will be presented at Back to Basics, our joint conference with ICOMON, taking place 2–4 December 2026 at Heureka – the Finnish Science Center, in Vantaa, Finland, with the warm support of ICOM Finland.
