Our ponies were spoilt on our recent 'Pony for the Day'. The children made some icy treats to cool them down. The prize for finishing first goes to Harry and Marshall π

πΆββοΈ RDA Big Walk Day 3πΆββοΈ
We made it!! 55km smashed πππππ
Day 3 started near Beaulieu, taking us through the forest towards Brockenhurst and back again.
We're so proud of our efforts. Most of us are not experienced walkers and three days of consistent long distance in strong sunshine was not easy.
Your kind donations definitely spurred us on. As I type we're at Β£4914 - can we make it to Β£5000? It's not too late if you've been on the fence about donating.
Your kindness will support the excellent work done by and those ponies will love you forever π«Ά

πΆββοΈ RDA Big Walk Day 2πΆββοΈ
Day 2 of the walk took us on a circular route from Knightwood Oak, which is said to be the oldest oak tree in the forest - she's thought to be 500 years old! π³
A quick ice cream/coffee break at Bolderwood was most welcomed, before our lunch break in a shady secluded spot deep in the forest.
Matt and Tamzin joined us for the day which with Tricky the dog, meant we had 13 walkers. Lovely π
A big thank you for all your donations so far ππ«Άπ Don't forget you can still donate by clicking the link at the top of our page.
A few fancy photos curtesy of our guest walker Lauren (Michelle's daughter) who joined us for all three days.
Doesn't the forest look lovely??!
Thanks for snaps π·

πΆββοΈ RDA Big Walk Day 1 πΆββοΈ
What a day we had. Our first day of walking took us through the beautiful village of Burley, out over the open heath, back to Burley for a lunch stop and then into the forest.
The weather was pretty consistent, very hot at times but we coped!! π₯΅
A big thank you for all your donations so far ππ«Άπ Don't forget you can still donate by clicking the link at the top of our page.

We are so amazed and grateful for your generous donations. Thank you so much π
But of course, we would welcome more. So please, if can spare a few quid, do. We (and our ponies) would love that. π

π· 1. Most of the team sporting their wonderful BIG WALK t-shirts.
π· 2. Michelle E has been out training today in the Wye Valley (in ridiculous humidity). π¦
π· 3. Amanda and Angy after their walk in West Oxfordshire today, getting those kilometres in. π
Look at Daisy!! β€οΈ
Three of our volunteers spent last Tuesday at an open day for RDA at The Blue Cross in Burford . One of the demonstrations was "Parking your horse" and Maria and Sue practised this on Daisy, who was a star pupil π
