Sweet Velvet Designs

Baking cakes during a heatwave with humidity that ruins buttercream as soon as it comes out of the fridge 🙈🤯🫣😵‍💫😭
…I’ve had a few cries already today but had to put my big girl pants on and suck it up - finally finished!

A cake I made for my beautiful friend 💖
Mango and passionfruit flavour cake with pineapple jam.
I finished it with roses and other edible flowers from my garden 🌹🌸

Cupcakes to celebrate a very special 80th Birthday 💖
Vanilla and Dark Chocolate cupcakes with assorted chocolates.

A mixed giant cookie cake ( in Vanilla and Chocolate) for Fletcher with extra treats on top 😊

I absolutely loved making this Lion King themed cake for little Bodhi, it’s his favourite film 💖
The design was adapted from a picture his lovely mum supplied and I added some extra touches to it to make it unique.

Fortnite Battle Royal cake for Tommy who helped with the design … He wanted a crown and gun on top of his cake.
The cake was Chocolate sponge filled with chocolate buttercream. All decorations were made using The SUGAR PASTE ( sugar and modelling pastes)

My first KPop Demon Hunters Cake for Susie…
I loved doing this one and had the song stuck in my head while decorating it 😊

The cake was a tall 6inch Chocolate Cake filled with chocolate buttercream, and covered in a final layer of vanilla so I could do the 3 layered colours.

Merry Christmas to you all 🎄
Wishing you all happiness and health for the New Year
Lots of love
Ally xx

A very special SATC cake for Jess’s 21st Birthday
