A huge thank you to West & Coe Funeral Directors for holding a Charity Golf Day, along with 140 golfers taking part they helped raise an amazing Β£36,000 for local charities.

Zoe & Uju attended a wonderful afternoon tea held at Langdon Hills Golf and Country Club curtesy of West & Coe, and received a cheque presented by Jeremy West, whom has been involved with Changing Pathways for many years.

We were delighted to receive a cheque for Β£2500 to help support our residents and their children in Safe Accommodation.

World Su***de Prevention Day πŸ«‚

Today, let's come together to honour the memories of those who we have lost and shine a light on the power of hope and resilience.

Remember, reflect, react. We can create a brighter future by supporting one another, breaking down stigmas, and fostering open conversations.

The current UK average of 20 suicides per day, over 7000 a year, is a call to action - let's work together to ensure everyone has a safe haven and a supportive community.

By joining forces, we can create a world where no one feels alone or without options.

If you're struggling, know that you're not alone and there's help available. Reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or helpline for support πŸ“ž

We are here for you, and we care πŸ’š

Thank you to Safe Lives for their invaluable insights and resources. Read their powerful article here: https://safelives.org.uk/news-views/domestic-abuse-and-suicide-figures/

🌍 International Day of Charity 🫴

Today, we’re celebrating the power of charity and the people who give their time, money, skills and support to help make a difference.

International Day of Charity is a chance to recognise the incredible work of charities and the individuals behind them, working every day to support people, challenge inequality and create positive change in communities around the world.

For Changing Pathways, charity means being there when someone needs support most.

For over 40 years, we’ve been supporting women and their children affected by domestic abuse across South Essex and Thurrock: listening, empowering and helping survivors take their first steps towards a safer future.

And charities can only continue this work because of the incredible support of our communities πŸ’š

Want to get involved? There are lots of ways to make a difference:

✨ Share and promote a charity you care about

πŸ’š Donate or support a fundraising campaign

🀝 Volunteer your time or skills

πŸͺŽ Start your own fundraiser

You don’t have to make a huge gesture to make a difference. Every act of support counts.

This International Day of Charity, why not do one thing to support a cause that matters to you?

Has a charity ever helped you? Give them a shout out in the comments!
