What does it take to turn a manuscript into a book that readers can't put down? Join acclaimed independent publisher Salt as founder (and poet) Chris Hamilton-Emery shares the story of building one of Britain's most respected literary presses, alongside two of its authors at different stages of their publishing journeys.

Chris is joined by award-winning filmmaker R.A. Marno, whose atmospheric debut novel What the Fog Conceals explores memory, loss and the hidden fractures beneath everyday life, and writer, journalist and illustrator Christiana Spens, whose thought-provoking work spans fiction, psychology, politics and culture.

Together they offer a fascinating insight into discovering new voices, nurturing talent, and the unique relationship between author and independent publisher. Whether you're an aspiring writer, an avid reader or simply curious about how books come to life, this is a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of modern publishing.
