🔧 PDpower software development update
There have been a few updates to the switchable coder app, so anyone currently testing it, please make sure you accept the update when prompted.
If you’re running a really old version, you may need to download the latest version from the website first—or just contact me and I’ll help you get sorted 👍
Also in the works is the PDpower File Scrambler for 1.4 and 1.9 TDI EDC15 files.
As these older ECUs become more accessible and easier to tune, protecting your work is becoming increasingly important. This tool is being developed to make it harder for others to copy your maps and pass them off as their own, or alter your work and then blame the original tuner.
You’ll still be able to restore your own saved master for future editing.
The scrambler is also in testing and will be available for sale once compatibility and operation have been verified for the supported versions.
Keep an eye on the website for updates 👇

🚨 5 MORE TESTER SLOTS AVAILABLE 🚨
We’re giving away another 5 tester slots for our new Switchable Map Coder application for Windows devices.
We’re mainly looking for people who map files themselves, either DIY or as a business, or who have a few cars available to test it on. You must know how to properly read and write an ECU, and how to recover it if something goes wrong.
✅ All files marked “test pending” are FREE to code during testing.
✅ Once testing is complete and the application is finished, you can keep your licence for the credits-based version for FREE to use in future. Credits for coding are purchased separately.
✅ You can also upgrade to Pro for unlimited use with a one-time payment. Prices will go up as development progresses, so it’s a good time to get involved while it’s still in early development.
We’ve already had successful tests with users, but only on a couple of files so far. We’re looking for more testers to help check a wider range of files and vehicles.
📝 You’ll need to submit feedback through the app when testing files. It will ask you a few questions about the file and how the testing went. We’d also like you to report any app bugs or issues you find and share suggestions for improving the application.
📧 You’ll need an account on our website. Send us the email address you used to register in a private message so we can activate your free licence.
⚠️ This is early development software, and errors are possible. ECU writing carries risks, including a non-starting vehicle / Or an ECU that needs recovery, Only take part if you understand those risks and have the equipment, backups and experience to deal with them.
Interested? Message us with your setup, experience and the vehicles you can test on.
🔧 PDpower Switchable Map Coder: testers wanted
We’re looking for people to test supported EDC15P switchable coding before the full launch.
Coding marked **Customer testing** will be free to prepare, with no credits used. You’ll need to report how that file worked before preparing another free test file.
Testers will receive the app licence free and stay on the credit top-up system when it goes live. That means you keep the app, then buy credits for future jobs.
**Planned launch prices:**
• App licence: £30, free for participating testers
• Credits: £15 each
• Change VIN on an existing program-made switchable: 1 credit (£15)
• Fresh supported switchable coding: 2 credits (£30)
• Custom coding for an unsupported file: 3 credits (£45)
• Pro: £179, unlimited supported app jobs; custom coding £32.50
Any licence holder can also request future file support through the free waiting list.
This adds switchable coding, not a bespoke power tune. You can use your own suitable maps, or we can quote for making them separately.
⚠️ Test coding is not yet confirmed working on the ECU. Keep full flash and EEPROM backups, and only take part if you have the tools and skills to read, write and recover the ECU if something goes wrong.
You'll need an account on our website to take part, and please give honest feedback on all map selections, VIN binding and anything unexpected.

🚀 PDpower Automated Switchable Maps Tool – Development Update
We’ve been working on a new automated coding tool for EDC15 PD switchable maps, designed to make creating and coding switchable-map files considerably quicker and easier.
The system is currently still in the testing and development stage, but testing so far has been successful ✅
This is aimed especially at customers, tuners and businesses who already create their own tuned files, but currently have to spend the extra time coding switchable maps themselves or pay somebody else to do the switchable coding for them.
💰 If you already make your own files, this could save you a considerable amount of time and money.
Instead of sending files away, waiting for them to be coded and paying someone each time, the aim is to let you upload your own file and have the switchable-map coding handled automatically.
For businesses doing multiple files, those savings can quickly add up — while also allowing you to keep more of the work in-house and get files completed quicker for your own customers.
The plan is to offer different ways of accessing the system:
⚡ Credits – ideal for occasional users who only need to code switchable files now and again.
🔥 Pro access – aimed at regular users, tuners and businesses who will be using the system much more frequently and want better value for higher usage.
There’s still further development and testing taking place, and features, credit usage and final pricing may change before release while we work out the best setup.
Testing so far has been very successful, and we’ll continue running more files and different configurations through the system before the full release. 👀
The goal is simple — make switchable-map coding faster, cheaper and easier, especially for people already capable of creating their own tuned files.
More information on pricing, credits, Pro access and release availability coming soon. 🚀
It’s been a couple of months since I’ve owned a PD now… and even longer since I’ve had a proper bigger build 😅
I’m starting to get the itch again, so give me some inspiration 👀🔥
Drop your PD builds in the comments — photos, specs, power figures, turbo setups, the lot 👇
And if anyone has anything interesting for sale, post the full spec and price too. Ideally North West, but I’d consider something further away if delivery is possible.
Let’s see what everyone’s built 😎💨
Remote Custom File Service – Trade Account Benefits ⏰
Our normal business opening hours remain the same for everyone.
For current opening times, please check our website, page or Google listing.
For the Remote Custom File Service, normal customer account file-service cutoff times are:
Monday–Friday: up to 6:00pm
Saturday: up to 5:00pm
Sunday: up to 4:30pm
With a PDpower Trade Account, standard file-service access is extended to 7:30pm every single day — with no out-of-hours charge during that time. 👌
And where available, out-of-hours file service can run until 10:30pm every day.
Trade members also get:
- 20% off everything on the website
- Access to selected programs and software
- Access to map packs
- Better value if you regularly use the Remote File Service
- Longer standard file-service hours every day
So if you do a few files here and there, work later into the evening, run a workshop/business, or even only use us for 1–2 maps a month, the Trade Account can quite easily pay for itself and save you money.
It’s especially handy when a job runs late or a customer turns up later than planned 😅

📢 A few updates + a quick reminder about the page
We’ve made some big improvements to the Remote File Service recently.
You can now book your file service and upload your ECU file directly through the website, with the job linked to your car in My Garage.
From there you can use the live chat with me, upload logs, files, screenshots and anything else needed for the job — all kept together in one place.
It also means once your car is linked, we already have the vehicle details, modifications and previous job information there, so when you need support you don’t have to go through the usual 20 questions every time about what turbo, injectors, sensors, mods, map etc you’re running 😂
It should make remote file work and aftercare a LOT easier for everyone.
Live chat and support is still available to everyone as well, not just people using the remote file service — linking your car/job simply makes everything faster and easier for us to see what’s been done previously.
---
We also want to address something we keep seeing on some of the videos and customer builds we upload.
99% of people on this page are sound, have a laugh, help each other and share the same interest in cars — which is exactly what we want this page and community to be about.
But there is always a small minority who feel the need to turn comments into insults, swearing, arguments or start judging someone else’s car/build because it isn’t what they would do.
We also get the occasional Facebook mechanic jumping into the comments stating the obvious or giving their 2p on absolutely everything 🤣
Everyone likes different things. Different wheels, different builds, different power levels, different exhausts, different styles.
That’s the whole point of modifying cars.
If somebody is proud of their car and we share it, you don’t have to like it — but you also don’t need to be a dick about it.
This is our business and our page, and we’ll refuse business to anyone we choose.
We’re trying to build a decent community of people with the same interests and passion who can share their cars, builds, photos and videos without being ripped apart in the comments.
Abuse, constant negativity, personal insults or unnecessary arguments simply won’t be tolerated.
You’ll just be blocked from the page.
If you desperately need to tell someone how much you hate their wheels, exhaust, smoke, car or life choices… go cry about it somewhere else 😂
It’s not for this page. ❤️
Thanks to everyone who keeps the page enjoyable, helps others out and supports what we’re building at PDpower 👊

📢 MESSAGE UPDATE – PLEASE READ
We’re currently flooded with hundreds of messages, and just from glancing through them it isn’t always possible to tell who needs urgent help, who is making an enquiry, and who is simply having a general chat.
We want to make sure the support is there for customers who genuinely need help with a recent remap, file or booking, so if you do need support, the best way is through the website.
🚗 Go to My Garage here:
https://pdpowerremaps.com/account/garage/
From there you can:
• Add your car and link it with your job/booking
• Find the Support tab and open a support ticket
• View community builds from other members
• Choose to share your own car, build, photos and videos with the community
• Rate and interact with other members’ builds 🔥📸
Linking your car in My Garage helps tie the vehicle and job details together, which makes it much easier for us to see what’s been done and can speed up the whole support process.
If your message isn’t urgent, please bear with us and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Thanks everyone for keeping us so busy! 🙌💙

📢 Quick update
We’re currently receiving a very high volume of messages, and unfortunately we’re struggling to get through every general enquiry as quickly as we’d like.
If your message is urgent or relates to a current booking/job, please open a support ticket linked to your booking through the website. This is the quickest way for us to see exactly what job you’re referring to and get it dealt with.
If you’re looking for mobile remapping support, prices, availability or have questions before booking, please use the Contact page on our website to find your nearest mobile mapper and message them directly.
And if you already know what you want, you can simply book online straight away. Once booked, your selected mobile mapper will receive the details and contact you as soon as possible.
We really appreciate everyone’s patience while we work through the current message volume. 🙏

Mobile ECU Remapping & Tuning File Service | PDpower Remaps Mobile ECU remapping and tuning file service for diesel cars. Stage 1, big turbo builds, custom maps. Fast, mobile or online tuning.
VW Bora PD150 we remapped with switchable maps for a stock turbo setup.
Map 1 – Less smoke with popcorn
Map 2 – Full reek map with popcorn
Map 3 – Full reek map with deep idle, bangs/flames and an aggressive limiter 🔥
Map 1 keeps it a bit more sensible, Map 2 turns the smoke up, then Map 3 is basically the stupid one 😂
Really good example of why switchable maps are handy, especially when you want the car to have a normal-ish setup as well as the more ridiculous stuff without being stuck with it all the time.
