Six air changes per hour. Mandatory vaccinations. Regular cleaning.
And yet, one Pennsylvania kennel was still dealing with persistent odours and recurring kennel cough outbreaks.
It raises an important question: when the fundamentals of animal care are covered, what about the environment around them?
We explore how Peacock Bridge Kennels approached kennel air quality, and what they observed over nine years after adding Powerzone alongside their existing measures.

🌱 Hospitality has embraced biophilic design because it recognises a simple truth: The environments we create influence how people feel.
Natural light, greenery, organic materials and water features aren't just design choices - they're deliberate decisions to create calmer, more welcoming and memorable guest experiences.
But as we watched this trend evolve, it got us thinking 🤔
We’ve become brilliant at recreating what nature looks like indoors, but one of the things people love most about being outside is something they can’t see; Fresh air
If we’re carefully designing what guests see, hear, and touch, shouldn’t we be giving the same thought to what they breathe? 💭
That's the conversation we'd like to start

Businesses today are under pressure to do more with less
➡️ Reduce operating costs
➡️ Improve sustainability
➡️ Enhance occupant experiences
➡️ Minimise maintenance.
The challenge isn't just finding new technologies - it's finding solutions that integrate seamlessly into day-to-day operations while consistently delivering value.
As Malcolm Fox explains, the technologies that succeed aren't necessarily the most complex - they're the ones that quietly do their job, every day

Behind every well-managed healthcare environment is a team working tirelessly to keep it that way.
If technology can help reduce recurring environmental challenges without adding to that workload, everyone benefits ✅
We're proud to have supported the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and grateful for their kind words

It’s difficult enough trying to keep your own house clean… now imagine 230,000 people walking through it every day
Suddenly, a bit of dust on the side doesn't seem like the biggest challenge 😅
Transport hubs are constantly battling changing environmental conditions - from airborne particles and moisture to odours and fluctuating occupancy.
The challenge isn't the footfall.
It's the continuous footfall 🔁
Here's what that really means for indoor air systems 👇

🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL: Ozone has hired a new PR team
And frankly, it was overdue.
Ozone has one of the most conflicted reputations in environmental technology.
Depending on who you ask, it can be protecting life on Earth, contributing to air pollution, or something to avoid altogether.
The interesting part? Those conversations are often talking about very different things:
➡️ The ozone layer
➡️ Ground-level ozone
➡️ Controlled industrial applications
Yet they often get bundled together under one word: ozone.
Like many technologies, ozone can’t simply be labelled “good” or “bad.” Context matters - where it’s used, why it’s being used, at what concentration, and under what controls.
For well over a century, ozone has been explored in applications including water treatment, odour management and environmental technology
So maybe ozone doesn’t have a science problem.
Maybe it just needs a new PR team 🙏
Consider this the start of ozone’s PR overhaul. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be unpacking the science, history and real-world applications behind one of environmental technology’s most debated technologies
What comes to mind when you hear the word “ozone”? 👇

Cleaning is essential, but in busy, high-footfall environments, it's only part of the picture 🛫
A restroom can be spotless at 9:00am, but by 10:00am, hundreds more people may have passed through and used the facilities.
🔁 New odours are introduced, the environment changes, and the cycle begins again
That's why leading organisations are turning to a new approach.
Heathrow Terminal 3 faced this exact challenge.
Every day, up to 35,000 passengers pass through its washroom facilities. Even with a rigorous and constant cleaning regime, maintaining a consistently fresh environment is no small task
This case study explores how a different approach helped complement an already robust cleaning programme, creating a fresher environment for passengers and staff alike in between cleans – transforming guest experience 👇

We spend almost 90% of our lives indoors, yet indoor air quality rarely receives the same attention as lighting, temperature, acoustics or interior design 🤔
We'll notice a flickering lightbulb, a squeaky door or a wobbly chair… but the air? Not so much.
Consider where you've already been today;
👉 You likely drove or caught public transport to work
👉 You might have spent the day in the office
👉 Maybe you stopped for a coffee
👉 You almost certainly would have visited the restroom at one point or another
👉 Perhaps you stopped by the gym
👉 Picked up some shopping on the way home? Or maybe you’re meeting friends for dinner?
Almost every one of those moments happened indoors. But did you once stop to think about what the air was like? 💭
Maybe it’s because good indoor air is invisible - when it's working well, nobody notices.
Or maybe we've become so used to the air around us, good or bad, that we hardly even notice it at all...
But that doesn't mean it isn't influencing how a space feels, functions and is experienced.
And as our expectations of commercial spaces continue to evolve, perhaps it's time indoor air became part of the conversation 💬

Indoor environmental technology is changing. But where is it heading next? 💭
We asked our CEO, Matt Vogel, for his perspective on what the next decade could look like.
In his view, we're moving beyond traditional building automation towards autonomous, health-aware environmental systems that don't just monitor indoor environments but actively respond to them.
As advances in sensors, artificial intelligence and automation continue, indoor environments have the potential to become increasingly responsive and personal - detecting changes, identifying potential issues and adapting automatically to better support people's health, comfort and wellbeing.
💬 “I also believe the greatest opportunity lies in improving existing buildings. Millions of people spend their lives in homes, schools, workplaces, hospitals, and care environments that could be healthier and more comfortable. Affordable, adaptable technology can make a real difference without requiring every building to be rebuilt.
Ultimately, I see the future of indoor environmental technology as less about smart buildings and more about caring buildings. Spaces that use technology thoughtfully to protect health, support wellbeing, reduce environmental impact, and help people live and work more comfortably.”
