CARE - Campaign Against Rural Exploitation

We are a new campaign, created in response to a proposed 100,000 panel, 200 acre solar power plant on productive farmland in a beautiful, wildlife-filled landscape near Colchester in north Essex. We are fans of solar generation - when it's in the right place. We don't believe that this is the right place, and lots of people agree with us - all around the UK. We are members of the Solar Campaign Alliance, which is a joint venture between resident-driven action groups opposing the rapidly growing issue of large-scale solar developments on UK farmland driven by a lack of clarity from conflicting government policies.
