We were delighted to welcome the pupils and staff from St Mary's Primary School, Dunamore to our sister companies KE Plumbing and McAleer & Mcgarrity this week.

As part of their studies on renewable energy, the pupils visited to see first-hand how these technologies work beyond the classroom.

For us, opportunities like this are incredibly important. The next generation will grow up in a world where renewable energy, battery storage, electric vehicles and sustainable heating solutions will play an even bigger role in everyday life. Giving young people the chance to see, touch and understand these technologies today helps bring their learning to life and inspires the conversations of tomorrow.

Throughout the visit, the pupils explored our solar PV system, battery storage, wind turbine, EV charging infrastructure and heat pump technology. They also experienced underfloor heating in action, supplied by Firebird Heating Solutions and learned how different renewable technologies can work together to power homes and businesses more sustainably.

The pupils arrived with plenty of questions and left with even more knowledge, which is exactly what the day was all about.

To finish off the visit, everyone enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream 🍦
