She wasn’t wrong…

“It must be great owning a small business!”

Yeah… until your phone rings 47 times a day and every single one is someone trying to sell you something. 📞🤦‍♂️😂

🚨 STOP DIYING. You’ll hurt yourself. 😂

We know, we know… you watched a 45-second TikTok and now you’re basically a qualified builder.

Put the drill down. Step away from the expanding foam. Call an expert. 😂

We’ve been in construction for nearly 10 years. We’ve seen it all, done it all, and fixed enough “my mate said he could do it cheaper” jobs to last a lifetime.

Save yourself the stress, the arguments with the Mrs and the inevitable second trip to Screwfix.

Here’s one they don’t teach you at college 😂🪚

Used the wrong size hole saw and now need to make the bastard bigger? 🤦‍♂️

Before you start butchering it with whatever’s within arm’s reach… here’s a little trick that might save your arse 👌😂

One of those things you only learn after doing it the hard way first.

It can’t just be me who spends more time searching for a straight bit of timber in the merchants than actually doing the job 😂🪵

I know it’s been a seriously dry summer, but the quality of timber lately has been absolutely shocking.

Half of it looks like it’s been stored around a roundabout! 😂

Robin Hood called… he wants his bow back 🏹😂

Today we were down in Horsham putting right a laminate floor that should never have been left like this. 😳

The customer had already paid another contractor to install it, but the floor had been laid with around 70mm stagger joints throughout the lounge. Not only did it look poor, but it also didn’t follow the manufacturer’s recommended installation pattern.

Thankfully, they called us to strip it back and relay it properly. A floor is only as good as the person fitting it.

What do you think—would you have accepted this finish?

Today I’m trying my best to be a “mastic man” 😂

We’ve all seen those videos where they make it look ridiculously easy… so after installing this composite door, I thought I’d have a go myself!

Turns out, it’s not quite as easy as it looks 🤣 but I’d say the finished result was certainly passable!

Another new skill to keep working on 💪🔨
