They say a picture paints a thousand words and today’s pictures do exactly that. It’s been a phenomenal day for us as a team, securing 1st and 2nd on the road and in class. James found his rhythm and was absolutely brilliant, and Mike, despite still not having the right set‑up just dominated from start to finish.
To everyone who came over to support us, to lend a hand, to cheer us on: thank you. You know who you are. And to our sponsors, loyal club supporters and followers, today is for you. Without your backing, we simply couldn’t do what we love.
I needed a racing weekend to clear my head, and I can’t begin to explain how much I love racing and being surrounded by like‑minded people. It’s been a cracking day, and I’m unbelievably proud of what the boys achieved.
We also want to send our sincere get‑well wishes to our fellow competitors involved in this morning’s awful incident. 🖤💛

Day 1 Recap!!!!!1
Qualifying was run in wet conditions, but Mike went for it straight away and stuck the Aprilia on pole. James battled for grip yet still secured a strong 5th overall (4th in class). Solid start from both given the conditions.
By race time the track had dried, though the race was shortened to six laps after an incident on the warm‑up lap. Mike’s start was okay, the Aprilia’s never launch brilliantly. James got shuffled about in the opening corners.
We’re still chasing the right setup on Mike’s bike, and he had to wrestle with it throughout. Lewis had just that bit extra, and Mike brought it home in 2nd overall, 1st in class. James found himself held up and stuck in battles he didn’t need, leaving him frustrated with the result. He’ll put that right tomorrow!!!!
A quick note, despite what the commentator said, bike 180 is not some all‑singing, all‑dancing machine. Yes, it’s a Twin and has the legs on a Next Gen, but after the Southern issue it’s far from perfect. And let’s not forget, Mike is probably double the age of the winner and about four stone heavier 🤣🤣. Honour appreciated, accuracy questionable.

Another race weekend here at Anglesey, my favourite place and we’re fully set up. Unfortunately, the weather is absolutely grim.
Mike managed a couple of sessions during yesterday’s test day before conditions forced the day to be abandoned due to high winds and rain. With so little track time, and the wind being what it was, we didn’t get enough laps to dial in a proper setup.
Today brings qualifying and one eight‑lap race, with us heading out first at 9:30am. The forecast promised improvement and a dry day, but I can confirm that is not the case right now.
Thank you shout out to those who help our journey, the ones who support us and for all the likes and comments. Damn it is miserable out there!!!

NG Racing Donington Park Round-Up
Can you believe it, little old us went to Donington Park and absolutely conquered it. What a milestone for James, and a huge achievement for the whole team.
We always said that if we were going for another year, we had to do something different. Mike chose to push development on the bike, some changes paid off, others didn’t, while James decided to take on a couple of new circuits.
To maximise track time, we entered the National 600. With James never having ridden the circuit before, it was a no‑brainer. Two test sessions, two qualifying sessions, and two races later, he’d completed a full day’s graft on Saturday in mixed Donington weather. Wheels on, wheels off, conditions changing every time he went out, but in true James fashion, he adapted, improved, and kept chipping away.
In the final Twin race on Saturday, the bike didn’t feel right coming over the line. With no clear cause identified, James made the sensible call to run only the Twin races on Sunday. Once again, he delivered, one wet race, one dry race, and he set his fastest lap of the entire weekend on the final lap of the final race.
We leave Donington as 1st in the Wirral 100MC Championship. A brilliant result.
Huge appreciation to Mike for giving up his time to help, to everyone who sent messages of support, and to the officials, medics, and the orange army who make these events possible. Thanks also to Butler racing for the company. We really do enjoy sharing the paddock with you guys!!
Unfortunately, James’ bike has suffered a terminal issue, the first one in two seasons. Gutting. It’s all hands on now to get everything turned around for Anglesey this weekend.

Holy Moly !!!!!! Clubs are already releasing dates for 2027 and we haven’t even finished the 2026 season yet 🙈. I feel completely disorganised heading into our final three rounds, with all my energy swallowed up by home improvements and work, never mind thinking about next year.
Anyway, James flies the flag for Team CR this weekend at Donington. It’s a brand‑new circuit for him, so the plan is simple: steady away, settle in, and enjoy.

After seven weeks, we’ve finally taken delivery of the parts needed to get bike #8 back together after our Southern 100 Race 2 DNF. Mike hadn’t even been home twelve hours from the ManxGP before he was back in the garage working on it. A few more bits to finish off and then it’ll be heading to Jason’s for a dyno run.
We’re now heading into the final stretch of the racing season, with our remaining events being NG Donington (James only), No Limits Anglesey (both riders), and NG Oulton Park (both riders).

August is always a quiet month for us, with the boys fully committed to helping Team Mistral Racing at the Manx. The event kicks off today, and we’d like to wish everyone a safe, successful and enjoyable couple of weeks ahead.
We know many who will be getting that famous tap on the shoulder, and we hope they simply soak up the moment and enjoy the experience.
Our thoughts are very much with Team JBW Racing, who worked incredibly hard to be back out there this year, but someone above clearly had other plans. I know he’ll be watching over everyone!!!

Pleased to share that, following official confirmation, James is now a double Aintree Motorcycle Club Champion securing the top spot in both the 700 Twin and 750 Twin classes. His consistency and solid riding throughout the season have truly paid off. A huge well done, James.
It’s never an easy road. Running two bikes is ridiculously expensive, and countless pennies and experiments go into keeping bike #8 moving forward. Yet he never complains, he just gets on with it and rides the machine he’s gelled with so brilliantly. From the bottom of my big heart, congratulations and THANK YOU. Your life is hectic, but thanks to you we’re double champions for the second year in a row. Yahoo!!!!!!!
Well done also on securing a 2nd place finish in the Supersport 600 championship on board your own Yamaha!!!!
