One Week To Go

Just ONE WEEK TO GO until a true Derry/Donegal institution holds its annual reunion.

On Saturday 29th August, The Point Inn Reunion returns to The Cosh — but this is about much more than just another old school rave.

It’s a celebration of where it all began.
Back in the early ’90s, as house music was finding its way into the Northwest, The Point Inn became a meeting place for a generation of young people who wanted something different. A place where the music mattered, where friendships were made and where people from both sides of the border could come together under one roof.

These were the days of the Troubles. Crossing borders, passing checkpoints and travelling miles every Friday night just to get to a dance was simply part of the ritual.

But once those doors opened, none of that mattered.
The music brought people together.
Derry, Donegal and beyond. Different backgrounds, different communities, different journeys — all united by a love of house music and the freedom of the dancefloor.

That generation helped lay the foundations for the incredible club culture that followed and created memories that have stayed with people for over three decades.

This reunion is our way of celebrating the music, the people, the memories and the place that started it all.
So dust off those dancing shoes, dig out the memories and get ready to do it all again.
