🖤🏉 ANT “BUTCH” BUTCHER MEMORIAL MATCH 🏉🖤

The White Roses Charity Rugby Team are hosting a special match in memory of Anthony “Ant” Butcher, affectionately known as “Butch” or “Ulf”.

Butch was a much-loved member of the Dinnington rugby family, a Royal Engineers veteran and a dedicated supporter of fellow veterans. Above all, he was a loving partner to Sarah and a devoted dad to Poppy and Charlie. ❤️

This evening is a chance for the rugby community to come together, honour his memory and support the family he leaves behind.

After careful consideration and consultation with clubs across England, the RFU has decided to delay the start of the competitive community game season until the week commencing Monday 21 September.

The RFU recognises this will be disappointing for clubs, players and volunteers who have been preparing for the new season, but the decision follows consideration of a range of factors. For full details please follow this link.

Everyone at White Roses Charity Rugby is heartbroken to hear of the passing of one of our rugby brothers Ant “butch” Butcher.

Most of us have played alongside him as a teammate or opposition at some point. A great ambassador to the game and great character who will be very sadly missed.

We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends and teammates. RIP Butch 💔🏉
