RACE 2 - P7

Jack started strong early in today’s race before losing touch of the group which meant we were in no man’s land to the finish.

Onwards to Donington BSB in two weeks time for the final 3 races of Jack’s Moto4 career. Let’s end it strong. 💪🏻

RACE 1 ✅ - P4

A tricky opening race for Jack. Thankfully our gamble on a slick rear paid off as the track basically dried straight away. A good race with Mason to the flag just missing out on the podium.

Today’s laptime from the race means we will start tomorrow’s 14 lapper at 12:45UK time in 4th place.

P7 + 0.9

Missed the chance to have a lap on a new tyre with the rain arriving mid session. Will line up on the 3rd row for race 1 over 14 laps at 13:15UK time.

DAY 1 ✅

FP COMBINED - P8

Day 1 complete at Assen. A day of two halves with this morning’s FP1 session starting in wet conditions, towards the end we gambled on slicks and threaded the needle on a dry line about 2 foot wide to go P2.

In FP2 the track was completely dry. We struggled with set-up quite a lot through the session. Not where we want to be but Keith and Alan from Mortimer Racing are getting their heads together to figure out a plan for qualifying at 9:10UK time where we can hopefully be at the sharp end.

A reminder to all our viewers that the Netherlands is +1 on the time zone.

🇳🇱 BACK TO ASSEN. 🇳🇱

This weekend will see Jack Burrows back in R&G Moto4 British Cup action as the BSB circus travels across to the Netherlands. Jack will have a race on Saturday and a race on Sunday at the cathedral of speed.

A pleasure to help out Paige Mullen at Kirkistown on the weekend past. Paige went out and won yet again this season. 👏🏼🏆

We wanted to call this one out separately, as we knew it would probably get lost amongst everything else in our newspaper article 😂 but Burrows Engineering / RK Racing absolutely deserves a special mention!

A huge thank you for your incredible help in getting Paige back out onto the grid for Race 1 on Saturday! 🏁

With so little time between qualifying and her first race, the panic was definitely on and getting her back out there would never have been possible without your help and support.

You jumped in when we really needed you, and your assistance made such a huge difference. It’s people and businesses like you who make the paddock such a brilliant place to be, always willing to help support each other and make sure we all get out there and go racing. ❤️

🏆 DEBUT. VICTORY. HISTORY. 🏆

On his first ever race day on a Supersport, Jack has become the youngest-ever Supersport race winner across Irish and Ulster Championship competition. 🏁

A great day from start to finish. This morning, Jack had to qualify through the Supersport cup class in which he was fastest with a time good enough for 3rd place on the grid in Supersport Pro. In race 1 Jack managed to have a very strong race to 4th place with a fastest lap of 56.7.

Following some changes to set up thanks to Mark Arnott from Motoshox. In race 2, Jack lined up 4th on the grid and made a good start making his way into 3rd at the end of the second lap. On the penultimate lap Jack made the move for the lead at the hairpin and held on during the final lap to take a debut Supersport victory with a fastest lap of 56.2.

We came today as a bit of fun for Jack and we certainly have achieved that.

RACE 2 - P4

Another P4 in today’s R&G Moto4 British Cup for Jack. Showed great pace setting multiple fastest laps to recatch the group at the start but the stars didn’t quite align today. It’s been a frustrating period to have the pace but luck just not falling our way. As ever the team and Jack will leave no stone unturned to try turn this around at the next round in Assen.

A strong ride by Jack in today’s opening race. The pace was crazy towards the end as they chased the leader. Thankfully Jack’s lap-time will put him P2 on the grid for tomorrow’s race and we will be ready to give it a good go again.
