We’re taking part in Banned Books Week UK! πŸ“šπŸš«

From 4-10 October, we’ll be celebrating the freedom to read, highlighting books in our collection that have been banned, challenged or censored. At a time where books are being increasingly challenged, taken off shelves or targeted due to the ideas they hold, Banned Books Week UK brings literature lovers together to celebrate the right to read freely - and we'd love for you to get involved!

If you are passing through the Billy B this week, make sure to check out our display to learn more about why some books were banned, and maybe borrow a banned book! All books on display are available to loan.

You can also have a look at our Banned Books Reading List and the Banned Books List on the Libby app for more reading (links in our commentsπŸ‘‡)
