August anniversaries 🎉

First up we have one of our Apprentices, Hugo, celebrating 5 years! And, we also have Approved Electrician, Jordan, on his 1st!

Congratulations team, bring on another great month of work and celebrations!

The AKD team are delighted to have recently completed the electrical works at Core Pilates Milngavie!

Working on behalf of Advanced Building Contractors Ltd, the works carried out included: strip out, new containment, new distribution board, general lighting, feature lighting, lighting controls, emergency lighting, small power, door access, intruder alarm, and fire alarm. Yet another top-quality electrical installation carried out by AKD Systems Ltd.

The skies may be blue these past few weeks, but the work has been green!

And, we’re not just talking about the sustainability of EV charging, as the AKD team headed back to the Hibernian Football Club Training Centre to carry out some diagnostics and ensure all EV chargers were operating like a top goal scorer ⚽️

July is here and with it, it brings a bunch of new family anniversaries 🥳

First up we have our very own Contracts Manager, Kenny, celebrating his 6th year with us - congratulations Kenny!

Then we have Pauline, Office Manager, on her 19th year. What an incredible achievement, we can’t wait to celebrate your big 20th next year!

And last but by no means least we have Approved Electrician, Logan, celebrating his 3rd year and Apprentice, Kian, one year ahead on his 4th. Thanks for all your hard work team!

AKD have recently completed the initial phase of a Commercial Electric Vehicle installation for Acorn Stairlifts UK in Steeton, West Yorkshire, working closely on the design with our good friends at EV ChargePoint manufacturers Lemac.

Works carried out included: assistance with full design, sub main panel upgrade, additional containment routes, sub main cabling, new EV ready distribution boards and load balancing 22kw Electric Vehicle ChargePoint’s.

As this building is in operation for extended hours each day and required to remain trading during most of the works, building electrical outages were carefully planned to ensure disruption was kept to an absolute minimum, with elements of the works being completed during overnight attendances. Another first-class electrical installation carried out by AKD Systems Ltd.

Once again we have plenty of apprentices celebrating this month! In fact, all three of them, Max, Ewan and Kerr, are celebrating their 4th year - congrats team.

We also have Trainee Estimator, Darien, celebrating his 3rd year with us!

Our team just brought to a finish another job working alongside MPACT to help with an office refurb. Covering everything from general power, feature lighting, a full cat 6a network and underfloor busbar RCD powerbars. It’s always a pleasure to work with them!

One of our very own ID Buzz Vans was out doing some EV charger installs recently! Very handy for testing the charger, from Lemac Power just down the road from us 🔋

It’s been great to see the increased use of EV chargers in recent years, lowering your refuelling costs and reducing your carbon footprint, there are endless benefits to going electric.
