Fancy some real Hammond on your recording? Send me your recording and I'll add that classic sound Once you're happy with it, I'll record it with the real thing.
Bands and songwriters - give your song a classic feel with an authentic Hammond Organ! If you've already got a sampled keyboard just send me an mp3 of your song and a midi file of your keys. I'll re-record your pretend organ with a real Hammond C3 (king of all Hammonds) and send you hi-res wav files for you to drop back into your mix. If you haven't got keyboard parts yet but you'd like some just

"It was 26 years ago today........................". Before Walkers became the sleazy joint it later became, it started off as Edinburgh's version of London's famous Speakeasy club. Managed by the lovely Trudi (made famous in the song, "Tonguing with Trudi"), Groove Tunnel was the house band and we'd play our cool Hammond & horn instrumentals to all the Scottish celebs who frequented it while the press waited outside to pap them as they left. We stopped playing there before its decline as they tried to do a number on us, forcing us to (successfully) sue them but not before a little club called, "The GoGo" had its launch night there before eventually moving to whatever Club Ego was called before it was called Club Ego. The Go-Go ran for another 16 years unlike Groove Tunnel which ended 2 years later when I went off with the then darlings of the Scottish press, Jynx. Many great stories from Walkers for another time.

Not actually with a Hammond but instead with Clint Boon's Farfisa Compact Duo, The Inspiral Carpets were a major player in the "Manchester" scene of the early to mid 90's (considered 3rd after The Happy Mondays & The Stone Roses though I'd have placed them 2nd after The Charlatans at number 1!). I've been fortunate enough to support them on 4 difference occasions in the last 30 years with 2 of the most recent being with The Apparells who are supporting again in November at the personal request of singer, Tom Hingley. There a 4 studio albums to choose from and this is one of my favourites with the band wearing our old Groove Tunnel outfits!
Inspiral Carpets - Saturn 5 (TOTP) Live vocal performance on Top of the Pops 20/01/94. Presented by Tony Dortie.

32 years ago, Steve Marriott told us what he thought were the worst Small Faces songs! Next time, what Stevie thought about the Small Faces reforming another time.
Favourite Small Faces Track On the 20th July 1987 the Edinburgh Mod scene descended on "The Venue" in Edinburgh (now sadly gone) to see former Small Faces frontman Steve Marriot perform...
