SATURDAY OPEN DOOR EVENT

We are doing things a little bit differently this term whilst we have the use of the amazing Reid Memorial Church and are planning a fantastic open door event where we will be running free workshops and classes with our teaching team as well as chat and info with our creative team! This means that you can pop in, say hello, join a workshop or 2 and get a sense of everything on offer at SJM Performance Academy!

This morning will run free of charge with no need to book in - just keep an eye on our socials for the timetable of what’s happening and when! All are welcome and no previous attendance of our classes (or classes like it) is required!

WE’RE ONE OF A KIND

A little insight into what our students have been up to and have already achieved at this week’s summer camp! The team work has been off the charts and we love seeing the ages mixing and mingling too! Our older kids are always such wonderful leaders!

STAGE CLUB AT SCIENNES PS

This year we are delighted to be bringing the amazing PETER FAE THE PANS to Sciennes Primary School! A perfect blend of the JM Barrie story we all love with the Scottish humour and local references that make our stage club shows what they are!

These classes are offered to both P1-3 and P4-7, running on a Monday and Wednesday after school!

Classes return from the end of August so if you attend the school and would like to sign up, drop us an email at [email protected] and we can tell you everything you need to know!

📣WHAT A DAY📣

We are BUZZING to announce that we have the been awarded PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY of the YEAR from the Global Innovation and Excellence Awards.

After receiving the same award through Prestige Awards last year - massive congratulation to Nardone’s Academy who received it this year - we were told we had been put forward for the global awards part for the same category and are thrilled today to find out today we have won!

A massive achievement for the full SJM family - the teachers, cast members, our venue at Summerhall Arts , and all our parents and supporters.

We had a great term before summer but we are more excited than ever to get back to classes in a few weeks!

We had to share this wonderful video of one of the talented kids we have this week.

Toby mentioned that he plays the violin so we naturally jumped at the chance to get him to play for our BRAVE showcase on Friday.

This was the first time he played for the rest of the cast - so special to have caught this little video!

ITS TIME FOR A TASTE OF SCOTLAND!

All things tartan, all things bagpipe and all thing shortbread this week, with a dollop of the amazing animated film Brave for good measure! This might be one of our favourite themes ever!!

There are 2 chances to join us this coming term with open events for all classes over 2 days on Wednesday 19th of August and our Saturday Open Door event on Saturday 22nd of August too!

Both these events are totally FREE OF CHARGE and are open to anyone who’d like to come along and try out our Performance Academy classes!
