Edinburgh Central Library
Edinburgh Libraries are “innovative on so many fronts, full of energy, bang up to date and unafraid of the future.
This is a template for libraries everywhere to be inspired by”. This is how the judges of 'The Bookseller' magazine's Library of the Year Award described us. But don't take their word for it - visit your local library and see for yourself. General information

🪼Wobbly, bubbly fun at Children's Art Club! 🎨🖌️
Our monthly family art and craft workshops returned on Saturday 19th September with a fabulous and fantastical undersea theme. Children and their adults had colourful, watery fun making vibrant jellyfish using coffee filters, felt-pen marks dabbed with water, and crepe paper and metallic ribbon, and then blew bubbles big and small in bowls and onto paper to create delicate and bold undersea patterns and textures. With the help of a hairdryer everyone's work was dry and ready to take home, and we even saw some jellyfish dance!
Our next workshop is scheduled for Saturday 31st October and we have some spooky Halloween activities planned! 🦇🐈⬛🩻
Children's Art Club welcomes families with primary school-aged children; pre-school children are also very welcome to join us. All children aged under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Each session runs from 10:30am to 12 noon.
Please book your family's places via Eventbrite (search Edinburgh Central Library) or give us a call at the Art & Design Library on 0131 242 8040. Booking will open two weeks before the workshop.
We look forward to seeing you next time!
