If you are based in Fife, you may have seen our new Community Support Officer, Gail, out and about spreading the word about our support services.

She has been to medical practices and various locations talking to professionals and local residents about the many ways in which we can support you if you have been affected by cancer.

Our cards and leaflets are available across various GP's in Fife so please do pop in to pick one up if you would like to learn more about our charity.

Today is world lung cancer day and we have the privilege of sharing a guest blog post from Mel Erwin ( ).

Mel has stage 4, not-yet-curable lung cancer and this article explores her experience, outlook and how she took on the Tour de 4 and continues to enjoy cycling with her partner Sarah.

We have some exciting updates in relation to our upcoming Health and Well-being event in Edinburgh this August!

We will have a cancer specialist and dietician in attendance, as well as a mindfullness coach and a session specifically focused on the psychosocial aspects of cancer care, particularly around fear of recurrence.

Remember, this free event is suitable for any stage of cancer and also for family members and care givers.

If you are based in Kilmarnock and would like to learn more about how we can support you, you can drop into the Bank of Scotland King Street branch today where Gordon, Deb and our Cancer Card volunteers will be able to share key service information that can support you on your cancer journey.

July is Sarcoma Awareness Month and also World Head and Neck Cancer Day is observed on the 27th July.

Both campaigns aim to raise awareness of types, symptoms, treatments and support available.
