Yesterday the Springer team took on our final training walk before the Great Glen Way and what a walk it was! 💪
22 miles from Findhorn to Elgin, taking in Roseisle, Burghead, Hopeman and Lossiemouth along the way. 🌊🥾
The legs are definitely feeling it today, but we’re getting there! 😂💪
Not long now until we tackle the Great Glen Way to raise funds for a publicly accessible defibrillator at the Springer. ❤️

This October, our team of 8 is taking on the 118km Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness to raise the remainder of the funds for a publicly accessible defibrillator outside the Springfield Bar.

It’s going to be tough, with tired legs, sore feet, questionable singing and probably plenty of complaining along the way! 😂

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of one of our valued customers and friends Mike Wilson 💙

Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time 💙

Peacefully at home, after a short illness, on Saturday, 1st August 2026, surrounded by his family, Michael (Mike), aged 79 years.

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Dot), loving dad of Donna, David and Ian, and a much-loved granda, great-granda and father-in-law. A good friend to many.

Funeral private at Mike's request.

The family would like to welcome neighbours and friends to join them at The Springfield Bar from 1.30pm on Thursday 20th August to celebrate Mike's life, should they wish to do so.

A massive thank you to Breeks and Tracy for their incredibly generous donation to our defibrillator fundraising.
Instead of gifts, they chose to donate the money collected at their recent wedding party held at the Springer raising an amazing £821.
We can't thank you both enough for your kindness and generosity. It was a pleasure to host your party and we're truly honoured that you chose to support such an important cause.
